I know its kind of been talked about but I'm looking more for my sake. I've got an '87 Shebly Lancer #571. Its a L/A car. Its got 122k miles on it, the paint is great, a few dings, and some made touch up paint over the wheel well but theres no rust. The interior is very clean and the cd player still works. Everything works except the horn which is amazing. How much do you think I could honestly bring in with this car if I were to sell it? I've got an itch to get into a 242ti volvo so i'm seeing how much I could put towards one. Any help would be appreciated. I've got the centercaps as well but keep them in the hatch so no one steals them.

I just bought one (#604) in Seattle for $2300 six months ago. About the same shape as yours. No cd player though. 140K miles. 10K miles on a rebuilt engine. Runs great. The seller was on this forum as "lancer604". Don't know if his posts are still up. I've got some pics in my gallery of it.
There's a guy in Phoenix with # 606 for sale. 60K miles on it. Has front end damage, but he has all parts to fix it. 30 miles on a factory crate engine, still under warranty. He wants $3500 for it, but no one has stepped up to it that I know of.
Hope this info helps.
Mike

I paid $3500 for it which I should not have but the guy wasn't going to budge on his price at all. I also have a brand new s60 for it so I can either sell it with it on the car, sell it with the car, or sell it seperate. One way or another I'd like to get close to 4k back from it all. It is super clean inside. The spots on the carpet are from my wet feet at the carwash. Its spotless. The exterior looks like brand new paint and it had a few small dings (probably 5). If the book for 5k like I've seen I don't think 4k should be a rip off.

This car should be on the higher end of the value scale. If you can hold onto it for a little while I'd say $5000. 2K? is that a joke?
