And for the lowest possible price, if not free!! Someone can modify a vehicle by installing non-original parts and that's fine until you attempt to sell it. Calling it a "Clone", or even a "Tribute Clone" is okay until you say it's a SHELBY. Then it's fraud because it's a fake. If Mr. Shelby wanted his name on every Chrysler Corp. vehicle built then they would all have non-numbered plaques on the dash and Shelby wouldn't have his name registered as a trademark. Not everyone can have a Shelby. That's what makes these vehicles special. If no one agrees with me, then I'll put some GLHS decals on a 1.7 VW powered '80 Omni, paint it black and post it for sale. I'm kidding about the '80 Omni though. (I'd probably install a 1.8turbo from the new beetle instead of the 1.7).
BS... I've always wanted one of those 1.7 or 1.8T powered 1980 Shelby GLHS! Will you take $10K for it. hope that isn't a lowball

Had to, sorry but you tempted me LOL

if I was near I would pay more then 500 for it. as long as the under side is not rusted out. I don't care if it need from the door back on one side. a shelby numbered car is a shame to part if it is fixable.

and if someone was being that pig headed I wouldn't sell it to him now if he offered $5000 for it. you invested $600 to get the car. I would not sell it for a penny below 600 unless you HAD to sell.

do you have pictures of the car? and the damage that needs repaired?

it is a 13 hour drive each direction to you if you still have it and are selling it near the end of summer I would probably have no problem making the trip down to get the car...and to repair it not part it

long live the numbered cars

I did have one w/the 1.7 in it though. Had VW cast right into the head. No power but revved better than the early 2.2's.

LET'S PLAY NICE BOY'S!!!!!!

LOL thanx guys, I feel the same I was only getting other peoples thoughts to see if I was being unreasonable in that I spent 1100 just 2 get the car, and would be only getting 500 in return and would have to pay another 500 out of my pocket to get another car, while he gets everything off my car for 500 which didnt sound logical to me at all...

I pay 1100 for the car.... he gives me 500 then I pay another 500 for another car, The math on that is I would have basically lose out on 600 dollars. Regardless of what I save in the long run on body work.
The car is not rusted out anywhere just has been t boned on passenger side and bondo'd for now.

I even told him I would compromise and let him have it for 900 and Im still taking a loss but not a huge loss, but no thats being illogical he says so ?

I would take a small loss for a TD guy but not that much I just cant afford to do that I have a son to think about and that makes it hard on him if I waste money like that.
So it seems im being the logical clear thinking one here, And im not resorting to name calling
