Hard top '86 Shelby Charger

Sunroof delete.

This guy passed by the other day and was all over the '86 because it didn't have a sunroof. I never thought of it as a big deal because my '84 doesn't have one either.

I never thought that not having a sunroof was that different I thought that would be the norm.

So does anyone actually know the breakdown? Does this seem odd to anyone else?

I have an 86 and it dose not have a sunroof (I wish it did). Of all the shelby chargers I have seen they seem to have a 50/50ish split but I dont know for sure. It dose seem odd that it would be a big deal.

Ya, I've never really paid it much attention never really giving it a second thought but this guy stopped even passing the GLHS up to say how surprised he was to see the "Turbo" hood with a hard top. He even went so far to as to say he wanted to see if it was just and '84 with a different hood on it. (He also thought there were gold GLHS's so...)

my 83 shelby charger is a hard top.. the 85 did have a sunroof and the bubble hood

Sorry to hi-jack the thread, but this reminds me of an argument I had with my brother-in-law. He claims you could get Shelby Chargers with t-tops. I had never heard of that and said it may have been after market. Does anyone here know for sure?

They never came from the factory with t-tops no L-bodys did , but in seems like it would be a easy conversion, project idea anyone?

Wow, I have seen quite a few hard top SC's. The only thing that some of the L-bodies got (82 and 83 only) was the convertible conversion, and I think seeing a SC with that setup would be cool to see.

I may be wrong, but didn't ALL 87 Shelby Chargers have sunroofs?
My old 86 had a sunroof. I always thought it was weird to see one without a sunroof. At least the turbo'd cars.
