When I went to Cincinnati State back in 09, and they had all the super low mileage donor vehicles (one was a 1973 350 Camaro with 909 miles!! ****!) They often strip the cars of wiring, switches, other odds and ends for lab demos, as well as any other useable parts. I was also told they're required to have photographic proof of the cars being crushed.

I guess I got lucky! I haven't done much with the car it's pretty dang cold here! I did get some paperwork back on the title, now I have to do the rest of the bonded title paperwork.

It warmed up today so I decided to get some stuff done on the Daytona. I pulled the front seats and got the carpet out. I also tried to install the seats belts I bought from xtremepickup, but they're not going to fit. The slider part is flipped the wrong way not allowing the seatbelt to pull out freely.







Here's a pic of the center console what goes in the yellow circle???

It's there for a coin collector. Basically you can put quarter, nickles, and dimes in it. It's good so you don't have a bunch of loose change around the car and for those states that have a bunch of tolls.

Not really that *I* remember. The higher optioned cars had this as standard. I think only REALLY base cars didn't have it. My base '90 V6 car has one.

I never saw one of these cars without one. The REALLY stripped down models can even come with a plastic plug in place of the trunk light and I've seen them with power windows / 8-way adjustable enthusiast seats, vented rear disk, and no rear defrost. Euro cars even came virtually fully loaded but with A/C delete.

But it makes sense that the coin holder would be wacked in some way seeing that European currency is a totally different size. I think the coin holders are all the same 1990-1995 despite the console being different. Have someone else verify that before putting faith in what I just said. If I am correct, it'll be an easy find out of a J-body Lebaron.

I think you are correct, but I'd see if you could run the PN's at the dealership just to make sure.

I just remembered something I overheard years ago, There was a test car 90 just like this one but in red and it was to go to Alaska and back but was abandoned on the way back in the Yukon Territory somewhere.I now something happened just can't remember exactly what it was that happened for them to leave the car there. I wonder if anyone is on here from the Yukon that can confirm this or not.

Can you get some pics of the rear tail lights and signals working? Id love to eventually convert my tail lights over to the amber signaled lamps. I have a set but they are cracked, and i need the euro wiring/bulb sockets because they are different. Im not sure if it would be plug and play or not. I also have a euro-spec gauge cluster with the 220 KPH speedo. (1987-1989)

So while I have the carpet out I found it was hiding the steering column seal. There's two pieces there one is too big for the hole, but the top piece will fit fine. I'm just not sure what the part in the background is??
