90 Chrysler GS TURBO 2???

Found a blue 90 daytona that said shelby on the side had VNT intercooler on the hood. Then on the back said chrysler GS turbo 2. The doors had a white sign on it saying t"this car was donated from chrysler " I didn't get pics of the doors my phone was screwing up. I did get the rear with the odd GS stuff. The vin also was an american vin. I can get it tomorrow. What is it? lol

does it have any mileage on the clock - if really low it could be somthing that was donated to a school of some sort and may not be "ownable"

also note the amber lens inside the end of the tail light ???

tail lighta are also untinted - I suppose those are the euro tail lights - SCORE

does it have folding mirrors? - those would be euro too

I think there was a GS model as a euro deal , not sold here

It's a technical training institutions training vehicle donated by Chrysler Corp to train people who were becoming mechanics to work on the newer cars back then in 1990.Chrysler sent out quite a few of these cars, Although it is built to euro specs it still may be possible to register the title to it. There were several sent to Canada ( 1 went to Viewpiont Chrysler in Edmonton as a test mule built to euro specs but did have a few North american specs items on it like the 3rd brake lamp present it was a test vehicle ) Several others were sent out to training academys like NAIT ( Northern Alberta Institution for Technology Located in Edmonton )or SAIT ( Southern Alberta Institution for Technology located in Calgary) in Alberta,Canada.

because it says donated by cryco on the doors I'll wager a buck it can't be titled

condition of donation - I'll bet the only thing that can be done with it after the school is done with it is press the poor thing
if the mileage reads really really low I'd take that as proof of

that sort of deal would keep the auto shop teachers from driveing off with them or selling them instead of useing them for the intended purpose

if it had ever been owned & driven by someone , fair bet the writeing on the doors would be long gone

Yes, BUT.. Here in the United STATES... We have this great thing called State's rights. Each state has it's own specific set of things. Laws, registered cars, taxes, even their own consitutions. Their only real limit is they can't override federal laws (for the most part, but not relevant here).
There is no federal car registry in the US. The federal government has nothing to do with individual cars beyond it's own personal fleet of vehicles. So what that means is if it was donated to a school in Wyoming (Wyotech?), drag it over the border to Utah (or preferably several states over, maybe to some backwater place like Alabama, as sometimes neighboring states will share a database) and poof, there will be zero record of that car's title. So long as it's not in the national stolen car database, and you certainly can't put a donated car into a stolen car database, then you simply have to go through that particular state's abandoned/otherwise untitled vehicle process. It's pretty lengthy and drawn out usually, because you don't want people just retitling stolen cars before they can be reported as stolen, but it is possible.

BUT , I'll bet again , that when the car's time at the school is done the school might have to provide proof they scraped it if they want more free cars to be supplyed to them

Scrapped it = dropped at the junkyard. Once it's in the junkyard, they're free to sell it "piece by piece" to anyone..... ;)

i donated a spirit to our local tec school. now in the state of pennsylvania if its donated to a school it is used as needed then crushed. (i made sure of it)

I guess I should have mentioned that it did come from a college tech school and yes it has very low mileage 411 to be exact. The owner of the yard was pretty disappointed to see the car all torn apart. He's supposed to get back to me I wanted to buy the whole car but we'll see.
