I know this is an old thread, and the car is long gone, but I thought I might add my story about this car. My family was old friends with it's builders. It was designed and built by Metalcrafters, and Tony Carlini ended up with the car after Chrysler was done with it. Metalcrafters built the prototype cars for Chrysler, Nissan, and a few other manufacturers. I remember visiting the shop with my uncle and seeing them building the Viper prototype. The Street Fighter sat in my driveway for about a month somewhere around 1990, because my dad was thinking about buying it. I rode in the car, and we broke down. I think it was a fuel pump. I remember it not having license plates at the time, but there weren't any issues with the title. Carlini wanted 10k for it, and my dad thought it was too much so we returned it. I have been searching for the car for years, and I google it every once in a while to see if it popped up. Tony Carlini passed away about 10 years ago, and I don't know what happened to it after that. I have seen a lot of depressing things at the junkyards over the years, and I have rescued a few cars including a Skylark convertible from that same Pick a Part about a month ago, but this is the most tragic and upsetting thing I've seen yet. The build quality of the car was amazing. I hope someone at least salvaged the nose and fenders.
