Well, there is an infamous 87 GLHS that the dealer painted red/black two tone, and I think someone on here painted their GLHS blue, but I haven't seen pics (hint, hint). Personally, I dislike red cars in general, and no color looks as good on them as black, especially with the silver graphics. But I wouldn't hold it against you. Perhaps you could have Positive Impressions print up the graphics in black, that might look cool.

Personally, I think the GLHS scheme looks classic. If I ever repaint my Shelby Lancer, I want to do it in black with (hopefully) reproduction graphics in silver from Positive Impressions.

Bakersfield dodge painted 3.. 1 red 1 white and 1 a really nice blue. I test drove that one in 88.. Yes it was still new on the lot.

I almost bought the white one in 94...

As for painting it.. A dark graphite would look great

It is your car, paint it whatever color you like. If the day ever comes that these become super rare collectors cars worth big bucks, it will be worth less because of the incorrect color. But by then it will need painting anyway so.... do what makes you happy.

i think red would look really cool
i dunno how well the INT will match, but who cares really
our old '57 chevy was candy apple red, then we sold it
but it looked very nice, yet again, it was from 1957

nonetheless, i always thought being unique is what made you special
but whatever, that is just me

p.s. if i ever get around to it, i was thinking of trying to recreate that red/black two tone on that glhs onto my 85 SC
i can't remember the site where i saw a pic of that car
anyone have one?

Justin

How about an old musclecar paint scheme? Something like lime green with a flat black hood.

My favorite SC color were the black and silver, although if (when) I have a glhs I don't know if I'd paint it like that.

i like that white glh clone, good job.

CJ you really have to go w/ your own preference on your own cars but i do agree that the original color scheme Carroll's team settled on is hard to improve upon.

can you post pix of your car as it looks now? thanx.
