Video is so full of fail. Just a clone car from a wrecked CSX. Car has been around for years and is very nice. I especially love the part about the Fiberides being lighter than aluminum. My accurate doctors scale says NOPE! The pic of Shelby on the page is with the Birthday car, not the convertible.
love it all but the wing. Really irritating the guy didn't do the last step. The CSX wing actually lifts at that plastic strip. Add a tiny plastic spacer and on it goes. Always wanted to do this to my 92, but black with the gold.
It's an absolutely beautiful car that is extremely well done but it's presented like it's the real deal. It looks like they even riveted an 89 engine plate to the radiator support. It's not my car or my call but I'd sure feel a whole lot better if they mentioned somewhere that it is a custom built car and not a real Shelby.
From listening to the guy, it's not his car, and he's not educated in our cars enough to know that it's a fake car. So he thinks it's a real Shelby. Maybe someone should comment on his video on Youtube and tell him the real story.
I've seen this car in person. It is a VERY nice car. It is a clone of an '89 CSX VNT that was totaled IIRC. The rear wing is from a Mustang GT. It looks like the video was taken possibly at the Garlits show in Ocala, Fl, but I saw it at Carlisile, PA in the early 2000's.
