I was at the Scottsdale Arizona at The Barrett Jackson and at the Russo & Steele. Now everybody has heard that the one CSX at Barrett went for $6800.00 with the commission but maybe alot of people havent heard the one that was suppose to be at Barrett that had only 18 miles on it was at Russo and Steele auction just a few miles down the road. I was there at that auction too and Sunday at about 6 pm the real super low miles CSX bid up to a lame $12,500...and did not hit the reserve! So on Monday we went over to the Russo after they where tearing everthing down and talked to the auction people, they said the reserve was $25,000 which is what I thought was right for the car it was near perfect..... So what I am saying we have to get these cars out there so people relize that these cars are just as fun and cool as any Mustang, Camero, Grand National, ect..... so hit car shows drive them..I meet so many people that had no idea that Carroll Shelby even made any kind of Dodge....( I have owned or still do own Muscle cars of the 60's and 70's and love them but I Love driving and talking about my Shelby Dodges the most just saying!) Also It was embarrasing that A Yugo at barrett for $10,000 and the csx that was nicer only went for $6800 once again just saying!

we need people see the race history of the cars. Scott Harvey's records, John Crawford, etc that raced them and beat everyone up in production classes on and off road. Most think these cars never did anything because there is no history being told. When your over at teamshelby ask for race history, they have it and hold on to it.

Having a brand new CSX VNT would be a real thing of beauty. They are probably my favorite Chrysler Turbo/Shelby Dodge of all to drive. Very nimble and just a great match of power and handling. I scouted and picked up a 60k mile CSX VNT for my father about a year back. It is in pretty amazing condition and it is all original. It was a garage queen. Non-Recaro, standard tire package.

I have 2 89s and a 87 csx. I love these cars. they all are 100% rust free. the 87 is stock,#179. The 89s are both running running low 12s in 1/4. #399 looks stock except for 2 piece intake and fmic. # 474 is a 2.5 hybrid and a work in progress. runs easy 12s on pump with a shity tune. lots of potenital! I also have a 05 srt4 acr and a 03 srt4. The acr has ran some higher 12s. And the 03 has ran 11.6 @125 with 110 and 30psi. All the other cars did what they did on pump gas at around 20psi. I have a friend with a mustang that has a built 4.6 with a paxton and is pro tuned on e85. it has 599 rwhp. and his best pass is 11.9 @ 124. I am sure he has more into that mustang than I have into all my cars put together. I don't know what my point was, but these cars are alot of bang for the buck, and I kind of get a kick out of how bad it pisses people off at the track. I do wish more people knew more about these cars but if they did I might not have 3 #rd Shelbys. I would like to collect a few more shelbys before I have to pay what they should be worth. But if they are never worth much $ they are still priceless to me.

I agree the value is not the issue the issue is that they get no respect and getting out to the track car show or on the street we can get these known...so people drive these cars have fun make it to your local show and SDAC lets not get mad at where the SDAC is located and just get there and have fun...I may live close to the last couple SDAC's but even if it was in Las Vegas or wherever I will be there to support our CARs and passion for them....I have a 71 six pack Challenger and a 66 Shelby Hertz Mustang and I would sell them before I sold my 89 CSX or My Shelby Dakota!!!!

I use to think these cars were hated because they are wronge wheeldrive. then because they are only 4clynender. But all the hatters that have rode in any of my cars changed there mindes. I now know it is just ignorance or not understanding. Or just plane and simple too redneck to give a shit. I dont post here often but this topic gets me going. when my kids get older and more self saficiant I will get more involved in letting the rest of the world know what turbo dodge is all about, but for now just me and the people that really matter are enough.

The point is the dude with the Mustang has no idea what hes doing. With a good driver, 10's all day long.
