Just picked up SL #720 and I NEED PARTS! I'm looking for a leather interior, all window weatherstripping, misc dash switches, and probably more that I'm not recalling at the moment. Anyone parting an SL contact me please. Pm or e-mail me g050shelby@aim.com

Much of what you are looking for is not Shelby specific and can be found in Lebaron GTS and Dodge Lancers. I just picked up SL #623 from Brett Lindsey which was actually his mothers car (auto/leather). I'll post pix later.

I have that book! Beautiful car you have there, I wish mine were half as nice.

I have everything to convert #127 to TIII but still waiting on the machine shop to finish the 2.5L shortblock.

You know I've got to admit, I REALLY like this car! I've had it for exactly a week now and had to put in some wrench time because it's far from perfect. I'm very impressed with it on the couple of rides I've taken it for, or it's taken me for lol. I'm no stranger to the Shelby's by any means but I've never owned an SL. It ain't gonna go kill a viper but for what it is they run and handle extremely well. I'm almost positive my SRT-4 would take it off the line but I almost bet this thing wouldn't be very far off at the end of a 1/4 mile. Some performance things have been performed but I'm not certain the extent. This car is certainly one of my top favorites!

Where do you work and where did you see the Lancer? I drive the Lancer in the pix above into SLC from Taylorsville during the week. I am not sure if that is the one you saw as there are a few around this area. David

Ya, I don't think its you. weren't you at the meet a couple of weeks ago? I was the new guy with the TurboZ. I work off of 13th south and State. At Performance Auto. I saw it across the street and it had the hood up and about 4 hispanics were messing around under the hood. So I had to test drive a customers vehicle and I was going to just drive over there to check it out but they were gone. So I came around the corner to go back to my work and they were in the left hand turn lane to go West on 13th south. But yes it looked identical to yours. But the hood vent was painted black.

LOL that was my old one number 689 Its with my friend Luis... and yeah he was dropping off the guys from work(the 4 big mexicans lol) when the map sensor vacuum line popped off.
And the vent we painted black along time ago before the reard medallion got stolen. but the car needs some work and we may just pull motor and trans and sell the car and start on the GLHS's and the CSX.

Haha! I was wondering if it was really a Shelby Lancer because I couldn't see a CS medallion on the back! Well, I'll stop chasing that one then.

My Lancer is #92, this car believe it or not was originally purchased new by my dad in 1987. he owned it for 6 years and took superior care of it before selling it to someone in 1994 who had no morals at all and destroyed it. the car ended up being donated to the american cancer society in 2002 and auctioned off to a junk yard where it sat for 3 years. it was then sold to a guy in 2005 who kept it in his garage but didnt do anything worth mentioning to it. thats when i came in. i got the vin # from my dad and did a car fax search for the car, ultimately finding it in shepherd michigan, 10 miles from where my dad lived when he first bought the car. i saved up my money, sold the car i had at the time and bought the lancer. amazingly the car still has all the paperwork in the trunk from when my dad owned it. it even has the original computer and set of foglight covers my dad bought new in 87 still in the plastic. Needless to say this car isn't leaving the family again. i just rebuilt the engine. its bored out .030 with new mp pistons. it a custom cal'd computer from matt wright, new turbo with quick spool option from turbos unleashed, a reworked g head, k&n air filter, stock cam, and has a bov mounted in the air box. i just installed a new Mcleod clutch with a new mp flywheel. koni adjustable struts and shocks all around. i also installed a high flow cat and muffler. all the shelby stuff is there including the dex, dash plaque, and all the ground effects. when i graduate college i'm planning on restoring the car completely.
