Upon hearing the news about Mopar pulling it's sport compact support, I know I am willing to send in $25 to go directly to Stephan's run next season. Anyone else willing to send in and have his car visibly sponsored in the name of TD.com?

We are almost 4000 strong on this board. We could come up with funding for a good campaign folks. Look at Stephan's performances this season. He is taking it seriously, and has done us all proud.

I would like to see this as well. Maybe Stephan could give us a $$ figure that it would take to get a TD.com banner on his car.

I know that a few years ago some independent guys were attempting to break the motorcycle streamliner record out at bonneville with a harley, harley wouldn't give them any factory backing. So they put an ad in easy rider that if you donated a certain amount they would put a list of all the names of people that donated on the car. Something like "Special Thanks To:" , not sure if Stephan would want to do it, but would be kinda cool to have your name on a car that kicks the big money factory guys asses.

I think if a trust worthy person with a paypal account. I think the advertisement for paypal donations should be listed on TD.com and if Barry is willing, on the SDAC mailing list/forum. In the donation, you list who you are contributing thru.
I personally think if Stephane is willing, a sticker that says a "Special thanks to Turbododge.com and Shelby Dodge Automotive Club" or something like that.
GO STEPHANE!
Frank

Where do you come off calling Stephan a cheat "act like he doesn’t have money " you should keep your stupid comments to yourself its people like you that kill the sport
I know Stephan he fab every thing on that car maybe you have to pay for every thing you need done on your car but Stephan car was built by him and him only
Stephan didn’t ask for any money on this site and he does have the forum banner on is car free of charge Stephan needs a sponsor to help pay for his
fuel and track cost that is it no more then that it cost him $10000.00 us in fuel food and track fees and I know for a fact that the first sponsor that offers him that amounts will get the titles sponsorship
He is taking down the SMP name on the car for the name of that sponsor.
And for your information he made 1000HP with a $4800.00 engine that as more then 65 run on it
if you cant afford to eat its your problem don’t go trying to ruin Stephan rep
By assuming what you did

Btw, I would be willing to help raise that money. I would be using the TD.com and SDAC as a way to convey the message. If Stephane agrees, I am going to talk to the appropriate people to maybe make that happen.
What do you think?

From the sound of Stephane's response, earlier in this thread, it didn't look like he was too interested anyway. Maybe someone should ask him..?

Have SMP get a paypal account themselves and have anyone who wants to donate, do so directly to them. This way there is no middleman to muck things up.
For CSX10, we could all donate to your race team too, but you will need to show results first just like SMP has done. You don't get sponsorship money for being a wanna be, you get sponsorship money because you have proven yourself to be a contender.
later,
Cindy

The only reason why I suggested a middle man is because of Canada. It can be a real pain. I guess I will wait to hear what they have to say. I know if you have an USA person do it, then we can pass a cashier's check to them, and that is the easier way.
