June 3rd at noon
MNSDAC Meeting @ Mopars in the Park
Raceway Park in Shakopee, MN
I will be bringing a portable grille so if you want to bring something to cook that would be great! I figure we will start cooking around 11:30 or so. The car show goes till 5:00pm, I was thinking we could go for a cruz after that.
More info can be found at... http://www.goracewaypark.com/index4.htm
email me @ info@layapatch.com if you have any questions.
See You there!

This will be the perfect time to get rid of all the food in my freezer/refrigerator/cabinets before I move!
If you plan on bringing your car into the park, I think you have to register on their site.

Unless you can just do it at the gate? Probably costs a few extra dollars.

Hahaha, are you asking for proof?
I forgot my camera. I don't think any pictures were taken.

Bob, I'll bet someone was doing the garage sale thing in Blaine that weekend?
Tell me I'm wrong.

I can't remember how many people were there..
7 or 8?
I talked to some of the MNSRT kids and, as far as right now, some of them are planning on going, just as spectators though.
Mark was saying he wants to bring a Comp Coupe Viper from Archer.

What can I say, I like deals! Yes, I was there. I found an 85 GLH Omni for sale while I was there. I'm trying to talk my wife in to buying it. They want $700 Firm. My wife had a problem with the FIRM word. I thought the price was pretty fair. The car has it's share of rust, but the doors look good and the interior is really nice. The car has about 85,000 miles and needs a fuel pump.

Unbelieveable!!! Bob you can find things that no one else can! Let us know when you get the car. I'm assuming you took pictures of it? I hope everyone can attend Mopar's in the Park! It will be a great time!
It said on the website that they will have a dyno at Mopar's in the Park! Hopefully that's correct!

I wonder how much it is to dyno, I'm racing on the 3rd, I'm ordering drag radials and getting spare rims, I may just put the garret turbo on for now and port the head later on, I don't have the time and or money right now to do all the porting, hopefully I'll hit 14's, I'll probually make it out on sunday though
Is anyone going to midway after show hours?

Bob,
My good friend that lives in Blaine saw that GLHT sitting under a car cover a year or two ago during garage sale weekend. He gave the guy my # but he never called. Seem to remember it had some rotted fuel lines or something. Don't want to discourage you but he doesn't seem to be very motivated to sell. I found another GLHT like that in south MPLS. Wonder how many more are just sitting in garages collecting dust? Just heard of another 86 gold N/A omni that's been sitting for the past 10 years in a garage. Another friend may buy that for $50 (lol)!

Todd, Did he say anything about the way the thing was sitting? It sat real low all the way around. I didn't look too close, but the shocks looked black like stock ones. I don't know if the car was lowered or the thing had bad springs ALL the way around. The thing that caught my eye most was the nice interior. I really wish my wife would buy it. Although, I don't know which car would have to go to make room. I already have to get rid of my 86 Shelby Charger soon. It's up at my sisters house in Beaver Butt. (Ottertail)
It runs great, but you can't do too much with all the rust. LOL

Bob,
I never saw the car, so I don't know much about it. Probably sagging springs. If he can't change a fuel line or pump what are the chances that he changed springs (lol)? I'm in the same position as you. Some other cars have to go before anything else comes home. One TC is getting scraped, and the other will be in the car corral at Mopars in the park. Hopefully, both TC's will be gone soon.

I don't know Todd. He seems like he's a top notch mechanic. After all, he said there's a new timing chain in it and if you put gas down the carb, it will start right up. LOL. He said that and made me back-up and look at the car closer. Yeah, it says Turbo. The next day, he said that to my wife and I saw her back up and look at the Turbo sticker. She's learning!
