Shannon is suggesting the ghost boat tour instead of the walking tours.

Um, logic would dictate that it involves a boat instead of walking, but I'll have to get more information for you.

But logic doesn't explain how the boats get to where you walk. And last time i checked you weren't God.

Go ahead and make it the later date as that seems to work for the majority of people and I will just have to make do without seeing all your pretty faces for another month.

My plan is to spend the night Saturday. Has anyone looked into getting a block of rooms? We might get a better rate if a bunch of us stay in the same hotel.

Yeah we could stay in a Holiday Inn Express. I hear magical things happen to those that do!

Closest one is near the oulets at 95.

The HoJo is right on San Marco Blvd and is $80 a night single with good parking lot to room access, all 1st floor.

There is a Ramada Inn about two blocks closer to the historic district at the same single room price, but is multi story without immediate parking lot access.

How many want to get rooms? I can call both of those.

If you start getting closer to the historic district the cost start going up exponentially.

I tend to foresee this being the last get together for the year for us with all of the end of the year holiday things coming up.

I do think that after this one people should maybe plan on making a showing at Gainesville Raceways the last weekend in October for the GRM Challenge. You do not need to enroll and participate, but you could chear my group on for the FL-SDAC Chapter representation.

Don't know if I'll make Gainesville, or the Street Car Shootout in Orlando. But the following weekend is Garlits also. Busy October/November.
