Cecil Country Dragway Annual TD Event

Saw a lot of nice cars. Couldn't get below 15 with the PT GT. First time at the track. First time my son tried running anything. Hope to do better, next time and maybe bring the TII Rampage (getting painted, now) in addition.

That 9.8 that Brian did was awesome.

I had fun and got to see a lot of fast cars but maybe next year how about trying to get everybody together and rent the track for the day? That way everybody gets more than 3 or 4 runs. There's a local Mustang group that does it every year here at Dinwidde. Dinwidde is a NHRA track and the guy who puts it together said it's not that expensive. Just maybe something to look into.

depending if the same amount of people show up or more it would be dirt cheap! that definatly sounds like a good idea to do! btw, wayne find those covers yet? how about a r/t turbo for parts, i need one.( the turbo, not the car)

I will look tomorrow for the covers. I need to get some things out of the attic anyway. Afew of the people that were there said they won't come back if they are only going to get 3 to 4 runs. We left at 2Am Sat morn. and got back at at 1AM Sun. That's a really long day for just those few runs.

If anyone thinks we can rent Cecil for a bargain these days don't be fooled. Just ask Barry how much it cost us for SDAC 13....

As a reference right now me and a group of friends rent Atco for the day...2000$ with a 15 car max....and then they allow a small amount over that for 150$ a head....

I don't think that price is to bad. I don't like the 15 car max but maybe cecil has different rules. If it's 2000 and you can get 30 cars to pay upfront that's only about 70 a car. I think it was 25.00 a car this time. This is just a thought and worth checking into.

I guess I should add the prices I speak of are for weekday only pricing. I beleive any weekend day starts at 5000$.

Guys I would love a TD rental only day, but I just don't think it will happen. I have no problem paying 75$ and up for the day.....but how many TD guys are willing too? AND.....how many can make it the same day to the same track.

Where I am, we do it as a local club/group of street racers. So its nice to show up at a top quality prepped track where we can roam free.....

We did it twice this year, I made 45 passes between the 2 days...
