Obviously, it will need to be in an Irish pub, being it is St. Patricks day!

Hey! How about Bennigan's? I think most of us know where it is.
Again, I don't care where we go.

Hey, I hear Phoenix is nice this time of year , it's only a 26 hour drive... unless you run into tornadoes , freezing rain , severe hail , disintegrating trailer tires , berzerko semi jockeys , and suicidal coyotes! Wow , what a trip.

Yeah, My Mother-in-law says it was 82? there today. She was bragging about it. Then my Wife says, "Just wait til it's 120 there and only 75 here"
At least Colorado Springs is do-able on a 2 day weekend. I think a few of us would have a problem with the 52 hour round trip.
Now in my younger days, I went from Mpls, to Seatle, WA and back in 55 hours. This was with about a 4-5 hour visit. Then back home. It was about 3,340 miles round trip.

Yeah, I here that. My wife laughs at her mom when she's complaining about the 65 degree days and having to wear a jacket.

If its at Bennigans, I'll do my best not to get lost in the parking lot again.
I don't think I will be able to make this one. I'll be going to Walman University that day. I doubt anyone here knows what that is, but it is for work purposes.
It shouldn't be much longer until my turbododges are strolling the streets... Probably by the April meeting. Also, this weekend I'll be picking up a '92 Stealth R/T Twin-turbo with a bad engine in it. 68,000 miles and in great shape otherwise from what I can tell.

Hey Paul,
Let me drive the Stealth and I'll see about trying to get you a ride in my buddies Ferrari.
I've only been in that type of car once. I have an old friend that has a Mitsubishi 3000 SL Spyder. Not near as fast as a Twin Turbo R/T but really nice to look at. I think his is ugly with the top up, but beautiful with the top down. They had to really change the thing to make it a convert and I think that all made it ugly. I wouldn't kick it out of the garage for leaking oil though.

Sounds like a deal. The Stealth will probably take me a month to get right. I'm bringing it home tomorrow afternoon with a tow strap. It'll be an anxiety-filled project for sure. Hopefully this car is "just another machine" like everything else I was chicken to touch in the past.
A 19 year old buddy of mile just showed me his '06 GTO today. Though quite impractical, a nice car and pretty powerful. Definitely downright dangerous in the hands of 95% of the 19 year olds out there. Yes, it is HIS.

I told the friend I told you I talk to him about getting you a ride. He laughed.

Yeah, Thats the way cars are. You take them apart one piece at a time and put them back together the same way. Hopefully it won't be too bad. What color is it?

When I was 19 I had my 440 Challenger. I did OK. I never did wreck it and it wasn't the safest car with those N-50-15 tires on it. (12 1/4" wide tires. 10" wide rear rims). That car was jacked up so high to clear those tires. Not a great ride, but was it ever pretty!
I did spin the car out on 94 at about 7AM Turkey day in about 1975 doing about 95mph. Luckily, the wide tires saved my car as I slid backwards against the center retaining wall. I thought the whole side of the car was going to be sideswiped badly and all that was wrong was a small flat spot on the edge of the rear bumper.
