well Bob if you would just let your wife drive the sundance you could probably buy another car!
|
  |
Ha Ha Ha. The car sits there all the time and she doesn't touch it. I told her we should sell it and use the money to help fund a newer Tracker for her and she said, no. I think she likes the car, she just likes her RUSTY Tracker better.
I may be trying to get an 87 GLHS that's nice and shiny. Cold air too!
I need to figure what I want to do with the 89 Daytona and the 86 Charger. I wish the parts didn't look so appealing to keep. I need to get those 2 cars out of here.

That '86 Charger...Which one is that on your page?
Is it a good runner? I could probobly talk my brother into buying it!
It would be sweet to have me and BOTH of brothers to have Shelby cars.

It's really rusty. No carpet. It may need a headgasket. Not sure. The thing is, I could use the engine and tranny since I have the GLHS. I have to think about what I want to do with it. The smart thing would be to sell it cheap and be done with it. But, I don't do well parting with my toys. Especially since I've had that car since 1988.
I'll know in a couple days what I want to do with it.

This is the car. I was going to drive it this last winter but bought Jims Sundance and kept driving that. This was taken in December.

I guess I would sell the charger and pull the motor/tranny in the daytona. The motor in the daytona is a common block so it would have alot of nice heavy duty parts.
I know it's hard to get rid of cars. Anyone looking for a 88 Lebaron turbo 1 auto convertible?

That would be the best thing, but the engine in the Charger has 110-120,000 actual miles and the Daytona is at 220,000+.
In a perfect world, I'd strip both cars and keep the 89 stuff in my 3rd garage for the GTC and the Charger stuff for the GLHS.
But it's not a perfect world and I don't even have a second garage.
The Daytona would bring in the most money if I were to part it out. But I don't want to sit on stuff too long.

Yeah, the gas is rediculus. I just went up to the station on Hanson and Northdale. The good stuff (Which I always use) is up to $3.59 a gallon. I left with only gas for the lawn mower. Maybe I'll pull out the bicycle and ride that. It may even do me some good.
It would be a shame to lose your truck. That thing is nice.

Keep the Dakota and pick up a shadow or neon for a daily driver. My Shadow isn't great on gas, 24 city/hwy and 28 hwy for an automatic, but being $400 to purchase you just can't beat it! Plus I keep the miles lower on the Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Just put gas in yesterday, seen this one gas station at 3.19 while others were at 3.39 already, almost slide the car sideways to get in there! $32 to fill up from a 1/4 tank.

I may not be making the car craft show, simply because funds are lacking right now. If I do, I'll be spectating only. There has been a lot of expenses that popped up recently.
Just got back from a trip to Colorado. Cheapest gas in parts of Nebraska was $3.65/gal. Gettin' up there.

The gas price is really becoming a factor now. The president of my AMC club just got back from Colorado, They held the national AMC convention there this year. I guess the gas price is why he rented a small car rather than drive his 68 AMX there.
Paul, Maybe you should stop spending money on your high buck projects and buy my Charger.
It's for sale now. I'm trying to get another GLHS and need to do some house (garage) cleaning.
