MNSDAC will have there meeting on July 21st. I figure we could meet at the dyno at 11:00.

Weekend Passes

I was wondering if the Minnesota SDAC chapter was having anything in September. I'm in Thunder Bay Ontario about 5.5 hours North of Minneapolis and I was thinking of coming down to Rock Falls (Eau Claire Wisconsin) for the Sport Compact Day September 15th. It would be cool if we could get some TD's together and beat on all the imports. I went 2 years ago and had a lot of fun, but I was the only TD there. Is there a Wisconsin SDAC? If there is perhaps some of those TD's would like to join as well. Sorry for Hi-Jacking your thread.

That's true, but I do that on the way to work each day.

Today, I blew away a Mudstain that didn't want me to pass him. This one looked fast too. I think I was more surprised than him.
I'm not sure if I'm going to make it to the car show this weekend. I have to work a few hours Saturday and have a grad party to go to on Sunday.
How's that CSX doing Ty?

slow im in on the rear skirts that are being made up and i started tearing out the interior.(so if anyone has a gray carpet let me know.) im also in the process of removing the shot wheels bearings from the meet last fall. in the coming months i should be moving forward with it. i also have a set of decals being fabed up for it and i refinished the head lights they went from yellow to hello.

Now that would be cool. Count me in if it happens. I am willing to travel most anywhere. I like the Rock Falls idea on September 15. I've been wanting to run my Daytona for a long time just to see what it'll do. I just need to invest in a helmet, and its nice to know someone there in case your transmission decides to grenade itself... 100 miles from home.

I plan on going to Car Craft, so I'll see everyone there.

This is jumping the gun a bit, (hijack alert) but I think I mentioned it before for our September meet to be on the 8th in Osceola, WI which is like 4 miles from my place. There's a beautiful park by the St. Croix river where we could get some good pictures, have a barbecue, etc. There is the Osceola Wheels & Wings car show that weekend. Admission is free, and you get to see a little bit of everything there. One guy brings a mint red CSX there every year, but I don't know who it is. Maybe we can stop by my place and hang out in the garage afterwards. It just depends on everyone's feedback as to wether this is a good idea or not. Just an idea to throw out there. I could see what is involved in reserving one of the shelters at the park. It is about 45 miles from MPLS/St. Paul. Maybe enter our cars into the show--I don't think that costs anything either. It'd be best for everyone to bring their Shelby car(s).

I was at (or near) Porkies tonight and saw an 86 GLHS go past twice. Anyone know who it could have been? This one looked perfect. I didn't get a look at the driver.
Last weekend, I saw an 86 GLHS at the Anoka car show. This was the one that's for sale on Craigslist.
I may be buying an 87 sometime soon if I can get all my ducks in a row. I'm not sure how my wife feels about it. She needs the next car.
