Damn! I wish I could have made it. Sorry I wasn't there guys some health issues prevented me from coming. I've never seen the birthday car before, damn nice! There seems to be some other people, or at least car, that I haven't met yet.

Thanks for the pictures!

Yeah, we had a really good turn out, and a few people showed up that i had never meet before either. I hope we can have meets like that more often and not just when Cindy is in town!

I have serious problems. I cant stop buying parts! I no longer have any room at our shop to put stuff. My R/T is literally full of boxes and parts, the back of my Jeep is full, and the back of the Omni is full. My room is also full of parts, and now my boxes are starting to overflow into my living room! Good thing my roomates both live up stairs or they would be tripping over all my crap like I am. This is the 3" I just bought for the Omni from TU. The mufller and cat are both Magnaflow off ebay. I hope to get it installed on thursday.

Oh yeah, I must have been banging around back there too much, because since I swapped the fuel filter in the Omni, the fuel pump has started to sound like a blender. Car seems to run okay, but I am parking it since the tank is empty and I just bought a Walbro 255 from Cindy today. Also hope to have that by the end of the week with another box full of parts. Once this semester ends, I will have tons of stuff to put together!

nice video.
It was great meeting all the slc guys. There was a very nice collection of td's
A little bit of everything, and some really nice cars in the group plus several good works in progress. Too bad I wasn't able to stay longer. But everyone was very nice, and I appreciate everyone coming out with short notice. Too bad I didn't get to meet the two Brett's.
later,
Cindy

Glad to hear you made it back home safely, Cindy. I'll be more than happy to host the video for as long as possible, since this is probably the first video of the car ever taken in it's lifetime.

I felt like the oddball of the group, not only because I was the only one from Idaho, but because I drove down a non-turbo Dodge with a Mitsubishi V6 and an automatic tranny. I REEEEEEALLY need to get my white Spirit running!!! lol

Does the car have two blue racing stripes going up the middle?

Well not quite, I've got plenty of video of it, during different parts of restoration but the funnest is at the Shelby's Las Vegas grand opening when I delivered it to Rick we had a little parade lap around Las Vegas motor speedway that turned into more of a Shelby Fords & Cobras against the Shelby Dodges, you should of seen the look on those IRL guys faces when all of a sudden this nice peaceful parade lap before the IRL race turned into a race . Shelby himself was whipping in and out of cars in his new Series 1 car it was pretty cool. As I recall their was 3 Shelby Fords that need to be fixed or towed off the track all of the Shelby Dodges Drove off but my wifes Shelby Lancer held its own against a few cars but got handed her lunch against a early 90's Mustang Cobra that wasn't too stock but I could deal with it a 200,000 mile Auto 4cyl Lancer did ok.

Some day I'll have to get all of my Shelby Dodge videos compiled into a DVD.

Brett

Well, I had a little time today while I was waiting for the exhaust to get put on the omni. I decided I would try to polish up the stock cam gears for the R/T and get them looking a little better. I didn't spend as much time as I probably should have, but they look a lot better than before. I also installed the Stage 1 cams in there. I will get the rocker assembly on there tomorrow and at least the head will be ready to go on the block when ever I get all the little stuff back on that.

I bet this is my former car you're seeing. It now belongs to my friend Mark (who lives a block away from BYU), and while his job requires him to live online, he never does any sort of forum stuff. Ever.
