Wow thats weird thats its been 2 years already and matt is back. I remember talking to him at RMR summer 2005 about going on a mission.

I was sort of fixing my duster but one of my wheel studs stripped so I guess thats what i will be fixing first tomorrow. Im sure I wont get much done and saturday would be a good day to finish the car before it starts raining. Need to pull motor and set cam timing and then swap the pressure plates.
Then get my intake manifold fully assembled again and make sure its not fouling a cylinder still.

Don't feel bad, I won't be able to make this one either. I'll be there in December though.

I am looking for gray interior trim for a J-body (1987-1989) LeBaron coupe hardtop. If you have anything please PM me before throwing it out. I am also selling tan trim if you're interested.

at least I pulled the motor today, redid the cam gears, marked then for 102 106 & 110 degrees, set them at 106, removed the trans, swapped pressure plates (the Sachs plate was ruined and I confirmed it tonight) and then put the engine back in the car and put the hood back on

lol when I said put the motor in.........i meant 2 bolts. 1 on the passenger side mount, 1 on the trans mount. Spend another 4ish hours tonight.

On the bright side, I didnt spend 10 dollars in gas

I really need to make it to one of your gatherings... Right now though I'm knee deep in a cab swap on my Ranger. Everything that can go wrong is going wrong and I'm tempted to burn the thing to the ground. But, my son would probably hurt me (he IS bigger than I am), so this is how I spend weekends right now. Its going on 35s, and I'm thinking a turbo for the 2.3 might be fun.

I'm in the mood to do a minivan project, not sure how I'm going to swing that though. Needs to be able to be a commuter too, room for 4 adults, not just a play toy. I keep seeing that AWD Caravan on KSL for $500, needs a transaxle. 2 ideas are to raise it some and use some short All Terrains on it, or to drop it in the weeds with wide low profiles and some turbo work. I drive a mountain pass everyday, so good handling would be nice, but so would making it in the snow...

2003 Neon needs new rubber, so it is getting new tires on the 15" pumpers I've had sitting for years off my old 88 Daytona Shelby Z. Anyone of you SLC area peeps have a non/CS center cap for cheap? I need just one. I'd prefer to pick up, not mail or ship so I'm not asking in the Parts Wanted section...

Haven't heard much from anyone the last couple weeks. Is the cold getting everyone down? I was FINALLY able to get the motor and trans into my R/T. And it looks like I was just in time since it is snowing right now. I will try to post some pictures later. I have completly lost all motivation right now, so I may not touch the car for some time. I am just glad I got the motor in before the snow falls.

Definately for me. I was in a great hurry two weekends ago on the last warm day of the year for nearly six months to get the cyl head back on my R/T only to find out there's still a coolant channel crack somewhere in the head from the S2 P&P (Dunn head). Then I spent another two hours taking the head off and shipping it back to Wallace to get another head. So, unfortunately, the white R/T will be headless throughout the winter again. And I won't risk driving the red R/T around here in the icy wintry roads with all the jackasses roaming our town.
