Nope, but Dempsey tells me he is selling his mini-van.

I am looking for gray interior trim for a J-body (1987-1989) LeBaron coupe hardtop. If you have anything please PM me before throwing it out. I am also selling tan trim if you're interested.

Yeah, he has a for sale thread here. Thats really to bad, it would be nice to keep as many TDs aroud the valley, even if I have never seen or met him. I never really got into the minivan thing. It would be fun I guess, but not my cup of tea.

Yep, my dad had one when I was a kid but I don't think I could own one. Mini-vans are where men go to die IMO.

Dempsey's a really cool guy. I met him when I went to the Doug Smith dealership for some parts for my red GTC. When I came out he was standing there looking at it. He then asked me if it was a TII. At first I was a little weirded out since most people take no interest or tell me to drive it off a cliff.

He's helped me out with a lot of questions I've had. He helped put me on the right path. Before I met him I was considering using a TIII turbo.

Tyler,

Tea is baaad....mini vans good....Their is just something sinister about beating the pants off someone in a "fast appearing" vehicle with a minivan. Especially when he has a car full of friends laughing at their buddy who just got beat by a mini van. I can hardly count how many times I've just over heard people talking about their buddy getting beat by a minivan...laughing to my self wondering if it is Corby or Dempsey that got a piece of them. I've always been a little weird though.

My first car was a 73 road runner with 318...yes a little 318...she was all show and no go. My second car was a Sassy Grass Green 383 71 road runner with white wall tires when I first got it...after awhile I learned to hate looking fast and going slow...So when I bought my 86 GLH brand new it was a lot of fun having a slow appearing car spank some muscle and sports cars...the addiciton then spread to Shelby Lancers, my Spirit RT (which I just plain got tired of fixing) then seeing Dempsey's and Corby's minivan here, Paul Smiths in Ohio and of course the legend Gus Mahoon I just loved watching the crowds reaction. Yes a mini van is ugly it is poor handling but on Monday morning do you hear the guys talking about all of the 11 second bikes and ricer's or the 13 second mini van.

Don't misunderstand I love all of the Turbo Dodges but I get some guilty pleasure leaving the lights with both tires smoking in my mini van. And looking at the V8 owner next to me face as I leaving him sitting there.

And as of this evening my son Matt will be the new owner of Dempsey's van. So you'll see double vision when we pull in a parking lot. Matt in his Black 90 Voyager and Me in the Black 90 Caravan. I'm a proud Dad...but it really has nothing to do with his car choices but it sure doesn't hurt

Good, I'm glad to see it's going to someone local that will take care of it.

Yeah, I do see the appeal of the minivan. Im sure it would be a load of fun. Im glad that Matt is picking it up. Should be a pretty quick van for what it sounds like Dempsey has put into it.

Hey guys yeah I got dempsy's minivan and now I need some parts I was wondering if any of you had extra intercoolers you would be willing to sell. Factory units or aftermarket right now i am pretty open. Also I know it is a strech but a rising rate fuel pressure regulator would be nice too.

And THANKS to Tyler for the info on that van exhaust. My dad is picking that up right this very moment. Here shortly we will have 2 black vans with good turbos and 3" exhaust.

You should have the exhaust by now. I hope that it works out for you. Also, I have a factory IC that I would be willing to part with if you need one. Good luck with the mini.

I think I have an extra R/T intercooler too if you dont mind that its got a dent in it. I think with a van you need to put a giant NPR intercooler in it though. If there is room, you may as well!

considering what he had in there and the intercooler he was trying to build (3 core) would be nice to look to something beyond stock.

He did build a 3 core and unfortunately that wasn't part of the deal. I definately know better that stock would be nice but I will be happy with anything right now. I have even seen guys pipe 2 stockers in parallel with good results and I have considered that. Because I have no idea how to weld aluminum nor do I know someone who will for a good price.
How much do you guys want for your intercoolers? You can post it here or email me at mattlindseymopars@yahoo.com.
Thanks a bunch for your help!

For those of the locals that dont know yet, my R/T is finally running and back on all four wheels. I need to sort out whats going on with the suspension though, because the eibach lowering springs raised the front end.

Were these lowering springs for a "Stock" daytona or were they supposed to be for the "IROC" which is already lower? I've seen this type of thing happen before they say it lowers a "Lancer" but in reality it is higher then the Shelby springs in effect raising the car. The other thing is you may have the sturt mounts in backwards or the rubber isolators could be in wrong. just a few ideas.

I guess they could made for a stock Daytona. I know the strut mount (perch) is in correct because they are notched so you have them in correctly. When you say the rubber isolator, do you mean the rubber piece between the spring and the strut? My R/T didn't have those when I took the stock struts and springs off. Dave and I wer trying to figure out why that was. Right now I am thinking about just putting the stock front springs back in because the front end sat pretty much where I wanted it anyways. The rear end sits almost three inches too high, so I may just have to cut the stock rear springs and leave the stock front ones alone. That way it will level the car out to how I would like it.
