Well I just had the car set up to be "RMR friendly" so it just had water and water wetter. Antifreeze was illegal in the race class I wanted to run. That race class no longer exists in the 2008 season either

I didnt have time to drain it before I left town for the winter. I thought about it at the last moment

What kind of block did he crack? 2.x or 3.0?

The block was a 2.2 and cracked right between #1 & #2 Cylinders on the back of the block under the manifold it wasn't pretty.

Is anyone else coming down or know of other TDs that will be there?

It sounds like Alan Jones from So California will be there in a T3 Rampage- That might make Tyler a little jealous
I think 15's is a very reasonable goal for a car with a hybrid on it. Should be a lot of fun for ya! I think there is going to be a pretty good turn out this year for turbo dodges. I get the feeling there are quite a few TD guys from california that are going to make the trip out there. I think in years past there have been around 7-9 TDs at the show either racing or in the show. I hope there will be closer to 15 this year.

Not really anything to know. Other than where to meet. It sounds like this month we will be meeting at murry park, but I am not positive. We meet the second saturday of the month, ususally at the pie in south jordan or murry park off the vine street entrance. Both starting around 1pm. Glad you found us, and welcome to turbododge.com, and the utah TD group.

Welcome! I always wonderd why there wesn't an 86 glhs around here. As for joining the Utah Chapter, there isn't a chapter yet! Your best bet is to join SDAC first, and once we can show to SDAC that we have enough members consitantly showing up for regular meetings they will give us more of a serious chance to creating our own chapter out here. I think we have more than enough die hard TD enthusiasts in th valley, its only a matter of getting everyone to show up consistantly. Either way, glad to have ya around. How did you manage to come by the GLHS and is this your first TD? Looking forward to seeing this one in person!

This is my first TD. My first car was the econo 87 omni it started to die on me about a year after i picked it up for 300$ but i loved it, so I found myself a plymouth horizon 88 for 200$ it ran terrible but Thanks to Olypus high school's great automotive program and teacher and Master technican Ken Bunce we torn down and combined the cars into the omni-rizon, it still runs and I love it but decided I need a little more speed and about 100 more horses so I search auto-trader found one GLH but it was not in great condition. So I hunted ebay for months often put in bids for several TD's and finally I won my GLHS. $3500, a free flight to california (love having a flight attendant in the family) and 740miles later, with the linkage only brakeing on me once, thank god for duct tape and wal-mart, I had a shelby to call my own parked outside my house! I'm glad I found you guys (and girls if any) , all though the sleeper and stun affect probably isn't going to happen with any of you which is one of my favorite features and privledges of driving the omni GLHS. So the 12th murray park sounds good to me. (p.s my tranny is fine my duct tape linkage fix was causeing the problem, I fixed it right this time.)

Amen! There are quite a few of us around the valley. I have noticed that if I need parts, or a helping hand, there is always someone that can help. Welcome!
