Hey, hate to bug you guys, but there wouldn't be any of you around the provo/orem area that has an engine hoist I could borrow, is there? If not, I'll just see if AceRents has one.

i have to use mine this week. Best car purchase I ever made because it barely costs more then renting one for a few days and I never have to give it back.....and it doesnt really lose value.

Hm.... I have one that has only been used maybe twice but its in West Bountiful that you could borrow. Thats quite the distance for ya I think.

I'm bringing someone to the meet that is in the Springville/Spanish Fork area that, I believe, has a hoist.

Yeah I know the guy he is in rock springs wyoming and his name is george... Its the Butchers cousin Jeramy's old car


Anyways, anyone here a n/a sohc 2.0 jetta ran a 13.1

thats is insane and I honestly cant believe it but he gets props for that...
But that sure aint just a chipped/intake/exhaust having jetta for sure...

But he aint telling anyone what else he did so yeah anyways good runs and that deserves a corona for sure...

Oh devin. It was april fools day. My roommates jetta wont run a 13.1 right now. I cant imagine the work it would take to get ryans there. lol I couldnt help but go along with it after I talked to ryan. But jesses jetta is ready for a run whenever you are.

Got lucky and the coolant leak from the block behind the flywheel was just a freeze plug. Thank God for beefy 3.0 blocks.
Seeing if I can get it back together for tomorrow. Have a lot of other work to do besides just installing motor/trans again.

Freeze plug totally removed itself. Sort of a weird place because the block isnt really "open" right there. There is only make 2-3mm of space behind the plug and then the steel around cylinder in the block. The block is amazingly beefy. 3/4" of high nickle iron surrounding that freeze plug.
Glad I dont have a 2.2/2.5 or that block would be trashed.

I know of carroll shelby letting dodge know that the GLHS is going to be in any color as long as it is black..... is there soon to be another GLHS in the valley? mine is a bit lonely..... oh it will probably be a bit nicer than mine there goes my nicest GLHS claim in the valley. seeing that it was solely base on the fact i didn't know of any others.

I have a GLHS, however it is of the two door variety. And if yours runs then its a lot nicer than mine.
