Sounds about right for a gtp. They seem like fun cars. If he wants to run. I would suggest he get there no later than 6. I am willing to bet there will be a huge turnout. Lots of people have been very busy this winter. Hope you can make it out.

They start racing at 11pm, and dont stop till about 2.

I am pissed I drug my feet sending my downpipe stuff to jackson. The RT could be running this time. And because of me, it probably wont see rmr till the end of may at best. lol What a month this has been.

I still have to put the rear of my car back together and see if my rear brakes work.

I want to show up for the street legal sport compact racing but I dont know how to make sure I also get to race at the midnights.
Corby you must be able to tell me the answer right?!??!

Will they just let us stay back there and get in line?

I was hoping to take a break from working on cars for a while, so this car may sit for a couple months. I think I would rather spend time getting my two running car to run better instead of diving into another project. Maybe the T3/568 needs to be dropped in this one....

I like the way you think. Top that off with a stupid big turbo, and I am really liking the way your thinking.

Had a lot of fun strangely...even though things went bad.

I will post up the 3 timeslips and put some excuses on each one, especially the clutch slipping and emergency brake lockup ones

I did set some new personal bests

1.873 60' on my first pass. It was a bad pass but..

83.10 mph in the 1/8th on my 3rd pass. It was a bad pass but I got something nice out of it I guess.

#2 was just horrible :P

THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP!

Despite the cold, it was a fun night. I for sure need to bring one of my cars out next time. I think I may run the R/T at the test and tune on the 14th and see what happens. If the Omni is running well enough maybe I can have it out for the next midnights.

Your second run would have been better if it werent for some team sabatoge. It was a good night. We learned things about the car and the vht. 83mph in 1/8th is not to shabby. But, its got more in it. 12s next time. and 13.5 on 5 psi, nothing to be upset about either.

Very fun. I am glad everyone made it out. We need to make it a goal to make a TD night on one of these midnights. Your RT is going to run great. If your real concered about breaking stuff. Run street tires, and just go for mph. See what it can do. But, it can take it. Slap the radials on it and go run some 13s on 10 psi. I am going to be sooo jelous watching you run your RT. For me dragging my feet on sending out my downpipe stuff.

Cant wait to see the rampage out there!

13 is pretty optimistic at only 10 psi. I would be happy with a mid 14 with the way I have it set up right now.

Well we bought the car for my brother who has flip floped on wether he wants to drive it or keep looking for a shelby charger. He thinks that he wants to keep it now so we should get started on it pretty quickly.

And I just measured the clutch arm throw on my two cars, and the one with the clutchnet pressure plate is all wrong. Even with the clutch arm down as far as it can possibly move (4 5/8" from the arm to the transmission, which requires removing the bushings from the clip and transmission) the pressure plate still doesnt engage all the way. I was going to modify the pedal to get more slack in the clutch cable but the clutch arm cant go farther then it already is.

I didnt realize this was a problem until I measured another transmission and found out that my duster was already at the limit of arm travel.

Hmm, so what the solution?
