I did some measuring.

Two of my transmission have the arm able to extend a maximum of 4 and 15/16" Away from the transmission.

one of them is 7 and 1/8" or so. So huge difference.

Then I measured the duster. I said before that the clutch arm with the cable inserted through the clip with ZERO bushings measures 4 5/8"

I removed the clip, and the arm drops down so I can feel when it is hitting the pressure plate.

It hits the pressure plate at 4 7/8" distance. That means when I have the cable installed, It is moving the clutch arm up 1/4" and disengaging the pressure plate slightly.

I havent figured out yet if I need to reclock the arm or if I just need to modify the pedal to get more slack.
-----------------
Edit

I got the wastegate arm out of the way on the duster and the arm is at 6 and 1/16" distance. I hope that means I can reclock something and get the clutch arm to be @ 5" maximum travel. This should solve the pressure plate problem.

Edit, transmission clutch arm is not clockable inside or out. There is a key on both sides. I am going to try swapping parts between transmissions.

I dont really think this will work because 1 tooth seems like way to much. I am going to try messing with the spare transmission parts to see if it will work or if some of our stock transmission parts are not all the same.

-------Also, they are not clockable on the inside either. There is a Key on the inside too.

Put new arm on, I think the clutch is fixed. It feels like a normal clutch now. I even put the bushing for the clip back on
Have not driven it yet but good enough.

Awesome! I assume you didn't have to pull the trans to fix it. 12.99 here you come!

Didnt have to do anything but swap clutch arms. I even put the cable clip bushing back in. The auto tensioner actually works now..instead of being jam'd at the top and still not having enough slack.

I figure lets plan on the park if the weather is going to be nice. If not, lets meet at the pie. That work for everyone?

That works, I have a friend who does not know any td guys out here except me, And he has a pretty nice T2 Shelby Charger that I may convince to come out once his trans is fixed/swapped to a 523...

Murray park sounds good but lets say later in the day so more show up? like 3? and actually maybe BBQ?

I think just for sake of keeping it the same, lets say on still. But, we always hang out for a long time, so even if there are some late showers, we will still be there.

And, we bbq everytime devin. No one else ever brings stuff. lol

Hope to see a good turnout. Weather is supposed to be nice saturday.

Weather is supposed to be good Saturday. I'll be there at 1 p.m. as usual. I'll bring my camera and try and get some stuff to use in the calendar. I also won't be leaving early this time. I still won't be able to bring the GTC though. Perhaps next time since I finally got a job.
