Well.... I guess that works, I may try and make it if my friend does and im not working since Im still deciding which route to go with my cb 2.5 G head T2/ 523 Trans...lol I have a few choices but not sure which I really want to do cuz I love my Charger... but I also found a few other nice choices as welll Dilemna) Anyways why not have a BBQ pot and choose someone to hold the funds and we can all decide on what to get and have everyone toss in 5-10 bucks at each meet and that covers the funds for the next meets BBQ that way its better planned. I would say Tyler or Dave would be a good choice to be the money/food getter guy...

I think that is a good idea, but will complicate things. We dont always have a set number of people show. And it would make it hard to know how much to bring. Plus, the extra time involved in picking up that much food. I think thats why the byobbq has seemed to work. Plus, not everyone will always want the same thing.
But, what does everyone else think?

We really need to try to do a little cruise. I would love to get some footage of a bunch of us out cruising. And one of mine and jesses veedub buddys may be out with a very nice camera, so it would be a chance to get some nice footage.
More thoughts? lol

The group buy on the food isn't a bad idea, but like Cory stated, would probably be too complicated. Maybe in the future when we have more people consistantly showing up we can try something like that. I suspect as more and more of us get our different projects finished up that our turn out will be more consistant because we will actually hav something to show off!

Btw, anyone ever thought of bringing a portable grill to the midnights so we have something to eat while waiting for them to open the track? It seems like anyone wanting to race has to get there hours in advance, maybe a little TD tailgate party should be on the schedule.

The whole chip in thing usually leads to meetings happening less often and puts the burden on someone to buy stuff and make sure no one forgets certain supplies.

Yeah, I tried the chip in method when I tried doing a meet for the first time. Brent was the only TD person that showed up and I ended up buying a lot of food. That's kind of why we came up with the BBQ idea. It's much easier and nobody ends up short. As for the camera idea, I like it Cory. I'd love to see a video.

Hey guys, I probably won't be able to make it now. Today driving home My Tona has an idol of about 2300 revs. And it sounds like its misfireing. Other than letting it idol it drives perfectly. I don't get it. Any quick suggestions maybe?

I agree, but try checking the PCV and hoses.

I'll probably bring it anyways. When It started doing it I checked for a vacuum leak but its kinda hard to hear when the engine is reving so high. I messed around with fuel pressure regulator and everything I did didn't seem to make a difference, I removed my Cruise control cable because that looked like it wasn't letting the throttle plate close all the way. That didn't change. I took the Idel set screw all the way down and It still didn't change. Things I want to check but can't at the moment cuz all my tools are at work are the cap and rotor, and the timing.

Alright... lol. you talked me into it. It'll be there.

I want to say sounds like a vac leak or the ais motor is messed up. But, like brent said. Good reason to bring it to the meet. Weather is looking better and better. Nice weather for parkingl lot mechanics.
