BTW I found a leak in the boot on both axles now

Id rather just reboot them since they dont have any problems....Whats the best way to go about doing that. Might as well do it now since they are not installed.

I have a hoist that you can use as well. I won't be using it for a couple of weeks and I can always borrow Gary's if I have to. I have only seen your car the one time but I remember that it was pretty clean. Looking forward to seeing it (running) again here soon.

So I have a Conquest for sale... sorta, its not mine. A good buddy of my boss is part owner of Bozo's Auto Wrecking down on 2220 So. 5650 W. in West Valley. He saw my Daytona on the rack from me doing the clutch and I guess he's a Dodge guy. Got a kickass little Dakota. We talked forever about it. He told me he has a beautiful Conquest on his lot he wants to get rid of! He does NOT want this thing parted out. Its in too good of shape. He doesn't know much about it. He said it has perfect body and paint. Probably an 87. The interior is in just cherry condition. But here's the catch. IT HAS NO ENGINE!. And he also doesn't know how much the thing is worth. So you may be able to offer a price. Like I said, I don't know much about it. So he said just call them and tell them you are interested in the Conquest they have on the lot. 801-927-2871 If somebody is interested I could go down there and take a few pics. The lot is kinda close to my house.

One outer, one inner.

I am thinking boot kits will cost more then "rebuilt" axles.
I just think these are good axles so I dont want some questionable rebuilt ones. Just some stupid little slits cut into the boot.

I dont have the tools to attach those weird clamps they use (though I would probably buy one if its affordable and boot kits are cheaper then rebuilds). Ive got no idea what the clamps are called or what the tool would be. They have those clamps on the steering rack and I didnt even put a clamp back on my inner tie rod boot because it didnt seem like it is needed and I am lazy and would have just put a worm gear clamp on there. Worm gear obviously wouldnt work on an axle boot that spins .

I went to the drag races last night and I must say that I have really missed the smell of nitro. There was an accident on the first race. One of the drivers lost it and went into the other lane sending the other car rolling. Both drivers were fine and the rest of the night was uneventful.

Thanks I think that would be easiest since we live pretty close. I'll give you a call when I'm ready and see if we can work it out. I appreciate the other offers too but they are kinda far and the only truck I have access to is a GMC jimmy.

Yeah, the friend I took had never been to anything like that and he was awed by the sound.

I had never been untill last night either. My buddy and I walked back after the first round and watched them completly tear down and reassemble it. Once they fired it up. The nitro burned my eyes, nose and mouth! I LOVED it!

^ I love the nitro eye burn feel. My son was sitting on the porch with me and listening. We heard one rip down the track. I turned to him and said. "I think that was a 12." He said, "no, it was 15." hahaha! He is gonna be my racer.

I guess I will see how well liquid tape plugs up the holes in my CV boots. One of the holes is a tiny casting flaw (like the opposite of a nub on tires) and the other looks like I hit the axle with the strut pretty hard.

You going to have the duster back together for the next midnights?
