I think the origional post was #48 but the date was changed to the 14th since then. I am pretty sure we are meeting at the Pie in South Jordan at 1pm this Saturday the 14th.

Sounds good. Paid my membership today. Hope we have a good turnout! And I have a running car to come with too!

Back to the reason this thread was started.... There is a pretty large thread on tm about trying to get an SDAC event to be hosted out west. (Vegas, or SoCal) Althought there is already $5000 offered by SDAC members in cali that they will donation if the natioanl meet is ever out there, Barry's only concern (and a valid one at that) Is that there is not enough membership out west here that would attend a western meet. I still believe that we can get the butchers, Brett Lindsey, and a few other poeple that I know of that aren't active online to join up. I think it is totally possible to gather 20 poeple. So is this list still accurate of people that will join SDAC?

1. Gabe
2. Cory (already joined)
3. Dave
4. Tyler
5. Clint
6. Corby
7. Kyle
8. Devin
9. Luis
10. Gary
11. Kay

I have already pmed Barry about our idea of starting a chapter out here, so if we all join then maybe in the future we can prove that we have enough membership for a chapter. So I think its time to put up or shut up. I will be printing out a bunch of SDAC membership form to bring to the event next weekend and those who are serious and will cough up the $30 can fill out their membership form and I will mail our form and our money all in at once. If you are interested in this please let me know so I know what to expect. I think this is a great opportunity to support the only national club that was organized for our cars specifically.

Please add your name to the list again if you are planning on bringing your dues to the next meet.

1. Cory (already joined)
2. Tyler

I will be there with my dues. I mentioned the meet to Clint Butcher a couple of weeks ago and he seemed interested. I'll try to stop out that way again sometime this week. Also, I'll talk to Gary and Kay to find out if they will be there.

Well that sucks. If you cant make it, just go to the SDAC web site and join up by yourself. There is no reason why everyone couldnt join up on there own, I was just offering to do all the work because I think it would make things easier for everyone, plus it would probably look really good for us if all of our dues showed up in a short period of time. That might get his attention a little better. Barry told me that we are on the right track here, but he would like to see some membership before he will consider opening a new chapter.

how did the pie go down?
I was working in slc area all day :P
My car could not have made it anyways, I need to inspect the tranny. i think the idler gear bearing finally self destructed on my way back from the track last night. Not sure yet. Just glad I made it home. That idler bearing has been bad for a few years, used to be the trans in the spirit. Im just pissed that I may have nuked my only good 3.50 trans. I have 2 spare large spline 3.77 but no 4 puck clutch that fits and I would have to get the OBX installed in one of those transmissions. I would rather rebuild the 3.50 but Im guessing if gears are damaged then replacement parts like that will be impossible to find.

It was good. Very fun. Not as big a turn out as we had hoped for, but its a start. We decied to do them on the 2nd saturday of every month, just so it easy to plan, and people can plan around it.
