Mark & I went down Sat. afternoon to walk the Car Coral and swap meet looking to buy a Cummins TD Pick up 4x4. No luck. We did see Jen & Craig and Craigs nice GLH (beautiful as always) and a nice Red 87 Turbo Z setting beside a Red Iroc R/T. Both also very nice. I didn't get any pics at all. But If anyone has any that they need posted, email them to me and I'll make a gallery on my site so everyone can see them.
Email to Mopar4Evr@neo.rr.com

I'm sorry, but I am just not a fan of the Mopar Nats. They want a lot of money and are the most dis-organized Show I have ever been to. Pay $80 to enter the showfield and once you are thru the gate, just pull up a park wherever you can find a spot.
Another thing I didn't care for is the way the FWD'a are treated by the announcers. We were setting at one of the trackside eateries, having a sandwitch when they announced the FWD's were running. I looked up to see a couple of Neons run down the track, but no announcement of who they were or what their times were. The announcer was blabbing about something entirely unrelated to what was going on track side. The next thing I see is OhioRob and a Black GLH (I thought was probably Reeves), again nothing about who was running or what the times were (an where we were setting I couldn't see the ET lights). Then when the FWD's finished, the announcer started announcing the Super Pro's and their times. As for me, I'll take a professionally run event like Carlisle or Norwalk any day over the Mopar Nats.
My R/T was in the parking lot just outside of Gate "A". I was really glad that I didn't pay to take it inside.

that's hitting the nail exactly on the head, and one of the main reasons i no longer participate w/ my car at the Nats. that and the horrible condition of most of the show field area. but it is still a great event to be a spectator!

the Nats have always seemed to only "tolerate" FWD mopars, and i bet that's all we can ever expect.

I was gonna participate in the Nats this year, but am kinda glad I didn't. Like you two have said it's too disorganised. I went to Carlisle & FWD cars up to 89 were grouped together, right across from the Shelby class, and was less than half the cost of the Nats. I will go as a spectator, but not as a participant. Not until they organize it a lot better.

Well, I just got my Vid cam emptied and it lost almost half what I recorded. Probably my fault for not knowing the software yet though. I only have about three or four pics that survived and only one is of a TD, it was not even one of our members as far as I know. I will work on trying to figure out the editor to piece together the video we got.

I'm sorry I missed you. Granted, I wasn't there too long, but I did go to your car three times looking for you. I was wondering who the owner was and wanted to meet you. Nice cars!
Did anyone notice the Black 72 Challenger that was setting right beside the opening going back to the Invitational cars. It was diagonally across from Craig and Jens GLHT. Notice the wind burned passenger door. LOL He passed me (and waved at me) on I-77 on our way down to the Nat Saturday. I was doing about 75mph at the time. When caught up with him and we got a cleared highway, he jumped on it and took it up to about 120 with me right behind him. Then later he took off again when I was about 6-8 cars behind him in the right lane. I floored it in 5th. and I passed him when he topped out at around 125. I looked down and I my speedo was registering 135 as I went by him. I know the guy, he use to have an Iroc R/T, so he knew what to expect. When I ran into him at the Nat's, he was grinning from ear to ear. He loved it and it was a lot fun. Just a good thing no cops saw us or I'd still be in jail. All three of our trips went to 120+ but never lasted more than a mile or two and was NOT in any traffic. When we came into traffic, we backed down to about 80. My R/T was really solid and those Goodyear GSD3's make for a nice ride.
Sorry to get off topic.

Raven, if you are talking about on Brice road you should have seen my silver Lebaron go by two or three times around 10pm. Before we headed over to Heath. I sat at the Chase bank till right before going to Heath. Should have been over there all night. It was three times what Brice turned out to be. They had a lot less police than they needed over there too, so everyone was getting crazy often.

Ah, explains a lot to me then. lol. We did not get there till about 10pm. Someone over there called the people next to us on Brice and they let us know that Heath was much better.
