oil issues... well i've been experiencing some psi drop when real hot. the pickup got plugged up with some silicone. i replace the pump, cleaned the screen, and opened up the pick up. now the oil light dont come while idling which is good. but i think the damage has been done. its not making any noise or anyhting, just low psi when hot. just means i may build another shortblock during the winter. granted i just rebuilt the motor about 5k and almost 2 years ago but this has been a learning experience for me. so far so good, i'll prolly take it anyway just means i just gotta paypal my spot soon....

as for tossing the GP on the dyne, its a stock stock 3100 with nothing done at all. i could go for the LOWEST hp numer of everyone with that...

Check your sending unit and connectors, I had similar issues and it ended up being a lose connector.
After replacing pump and bearings...

Well my car won't be ready I'm planning on a first start this week, BUT
I still need to plumb the turbo to I/C to the TB and I still need to figure out how i'm gonna fit the rad inthere with that big ass intake mani.. and still need rad fans..anyone gotta VW schirocco rad hanging around that has a good fan? and a couple fittings for the fuel pressure gauge is about it..SOOO close to being done just about done with the electrical looks like I'll have to do the dyno another day.. I'll be sure to video it anyway.. None the less, I'll most likely be there to support everyone and help out if needed..
I would dyno the r/t but its got real bad blowby on cyl4 so thats a no-go..

Cool Joe see you there, maybe you can make a final mad dash!

I was just playing with mine getting it ready. That S60 turbo sure pushes a ton of air. I was playing with the idle and fixing up a silicone hose I popped(it had a pin leak, bubbled up the layers and burst). Tie wrapped some vac lines that kept popping off. My alternator belt need tightening. My iddle is still a bit lean at 15.6ish on the wide band. I seem to be running too rich and turned down the fuel pressure. I can only pull to 5200. My cal still has that rev limmit set somehow. It would also not read a gm 3bar map, just sputters and dies when I plug it in. Its gonna be fun to see what I pull at the dyno. I will play a bit more with it over the next few days.

Oil Pressure on an 8v will be 50-70psi cold and will drop to 8-12psi when fully warmed up..
