MNSDAC January meeting

I suppose I'll try to get the ball rolling. I like to plan ahead.

Sounds like many of us liked the idea of bowling in January. Unsure of the date. Sounds great to me as long as I don't injure myself between now and then. There shouldn't be much reason that I cannot make it. Because there's nothing to do this time of year other than work, shovel snow, and pay heat bills. This time my car won't be quite as lame as December's meeting.

There's two things that'll hurt you this year. Paying heating bills and shoveling. If we get much more snow, I'll be lucky to break 100.
I'm looking forward to some bowling. I guess the price has gone up a lot since I last went. I hope I can afford to do it. I shelled out a lot of money (that I didn't have) the last couple weeks.

MNSDAC Meeting will be on Januuary 12th. Location of Bowling alley has not been determined yet.


Trying to get back on track for having the meetings the 2nd saturday of every month. Been calling around to different places I guess it all depends on what time we go? Last time we went at night, I think it was 7:00? Should we go bowling at night?

Usually the problem with late night bowling is that the alleys often have leagues going on which tends to monopolize the entire facility. I would prefer the evening bowling though. I LOVE THE SMOKING BAN! Now I can bowl without raunchy stench and/or monster headaches afterwards!

I'm up for anything. I checked the website of the place we went a few years ago. They seem to have leagues and other things going in the evening. (can't remember for sure, I read it a couple days ago.)

If it's in the evening on the 12th (as in, after 6pm) I'll be able to make it. I work 8 to 5 that day.

And by I, I really mean WE, Ryan and I.

I'm game for whatever. I'm free every weekend except for the Monster Trucks on the 19th.

There is a brand new bowling alley in Blaine called Brunswick off of hwy65. It's pretty nice place and they have lazer tag, arcade, and a full bar.

If we wanted to go a little west for a change, there is another place off of hwy10 in Andover, but I know they have regular leagues.

MNSDAC meeting will be Jan 12th @ 5:00 at the Mermaid Bowling Center in Mounds View. I called there and they have open bowling. He said the worst time to go is from 6:00-8:00 at that time they have leagues but they have 12 lanes open. So I figure if we get there by 5:00 then I can reserve 2 lanes. After that we could go to their Sports Bar for dinner.

If you can't make the first game, call me ahead of time and tell me you're coming and that you will be a little late. Then we can get you down for a second game. By the time we get our shoes and get settled in it'll probably be 6:00 anyways.

But that was robot bowl. Back when Atari 2600's ruled!

I bowled a 200 once other than that I usually only get 120-130 since I don't bowl enough.

The best I did was something around 170 or so. A scrawny guy like me heaving a 15 pound ball isn't the ideal setup, unless Atari's are involved.

I guess my best was somewhere around 173? I use to bowl a bit when I was 18. Back when a kid could afford it. I was about 145 lbs and 6'3". I was afraid of the ball! Now I'm about 90 lbs heavier and have trouble finding a ball that has the finger holes far enough apart. But, my games, the last time we did this, were around 100. I'm pathetic.

Well we will see what I can do, I'll be bowling left handed! I found out yesterday that I have tennis elbow so I have to take it easy with my right arm.

Hmmmm, Giving me a chance. My handicap is that as of March 21 of 2007, I became exactly TWICE, Pauls age.
Yeah, I have too much time on my hands. Oh by the way, Happy Belated Birthday Paul.
