Bob is that a sand blasting cabinet in you garage? Want to part with it? Also does that Horizon have any rust?
Ryan, Yes it is and no I don't. Too tell you the truth, I bought it about 5 years ago and only used it a few times. I have plans, just never get to them. I bought it on sale at Harbor Freight on sale for like $90. Normally, It's about $130. I'd really suggest getting a bigger one. Ask Todd what to get. That thing looks like a good size until you stick your hands in the gloves, put a valve cover in there and then try to hold that stiff hose. It gets small fast. I broke the glass the first time I used it too. It's dark inside so I put a light over the glass. It was a bit too close and cracked the glass. The protective plastic film clouds up fast.
The Horizon does have rust on the lower lips of the doors and hatch, but is pretty solid floorwise. It supposedly wasn't driven in the winter the first 19 years of it's life. I think the guy may have been off a couple years. He said he bought it from his Mom two years earlier and then started driving it in the winter. The title says he had it for at least 3 1/2 years. I can't wait to start driving it. It needs tranny work. Should be a piece of cake after doing the clutch in the Shelby.

I got the Turismo going finally. After putting in new floors(still have to finish up the floor in back), tires, brakes(upgraded to 4lug Shelby's-new lines, hoses, calipers, pads, shoes, parking cables), timing belt, belts, plugs, cap& rotor, rebuilt the carb, different seats and carpet, blasting and painting the rims(also new beauty rings), wheel bearings, and as soon as they come in the struts. Whew!

Ya ain't kidding, it was alot of work. People sure looked at it on my way to and from work today so I am really happy with how it's turned out so far. FYI Bob,I was just on craigslist and there's a black 84 GLH for 500 on it. A little pricey being it's damaged and rusty though.

I finaly got the parts for the red racer. Dropped all the piston parts off at Northern Cylinder Heads this afternoon to have them assembled and checked. He was pretty certain he could have it done by Friday, but possibly next week. If they are done Friday I will be skipping Mopars in the Park to get the car running.
So instead of the Mahle pistons it will be running Venolia forged pistons!

I won't be at Mopars in the Park.... if I am, I will be there with no registered car and won't stay all day. Anyone entering the show willing to let me be the 2nd person that the car show registration allows? I'll pitch in a few bucks.

I want one I can fit a wheel into... I guess that means I need to spend more money.

I am just going to spectate and hang out with the MNSDAC guys. I wonder if I can carry in a foldable chair? Or can someone bring an extra for me just in case. I am lazy, must be my desk job.

I could carry it in Ryan. But I'm not sure when I'll be going. I want to get there early, but the way things are going....... One problem after the next. I can't get the Shelby to run very good. It sounds like ignition but who knows'

Paul, you can ride in with me, but again, not sure when I'll get there. I'll give you a call in a few........

Yeah, it was ignition. I took the fancy blue MP wires off and the cap and rotor and pick-up coil. Replaced it with some JY stuff I had laying around. The car has never run this well. Now I have to narrow down what the problem was.

Sure, gimme a call tomorrow whenever you're on your way. I'll get there before you, park, and then you can pick me up on the street or somethin.

Just FYI... I turned off my land line and even my own internet, so that phone number doesn't work. I now use the couple-doors-down-neighbor's wireless. It works pretty slick when it works.

Jim did you make it home without getting rained on?

We had some hail at my place, I didn't get hit with it in the R/T though.

Yeah I didn't get rained on either. But when I pulled off of 77 towards my house I could see all the hail in the road and grass. It looked like it had just snowed and was turning into slush. The SRT got hit in it for a bit though, no real damage that we can see just a few tiny dings on the hood.

Yeah the R/T is fun to drive, although I am going to check my new intercooler for pinhole leaks in the welds. My boost was dropping off which it didn't do before the intercooler. I also lost a couple pounds of boost from last year with only changing the intercooler and blow off valve. It is still pretty quick and fun to drive, especially now that I have a good pressure plate and can shift at high RPMs!<
