Went to Rohners in wilmar and got the trim pieces I needed. I saw this in Dassel on the way out and had to stop on the way back to check it out. Very clean and rust free underneath. Paint is a little dull but hey it is a 79 Indy Pace Car. It's definitely solid. Also, Upull has an 82 Rampage with a manual rack and pinion. It looks like a pretty new unit. Very clean with almost no dirt on it or corrosion.

Nice looking car that just needs someone to go over it with a buffer...

Anyone got a clutch cable for a 92 and up Daytona or what ever is interchangeable. Think my new one is too short by just a lil bit.

I know that I have a clutch cable somewhere. I am quite confident, however, that my 1991 Daytona (The same thing) has a P-body clutch cable in it. It fit perfectly, so it'll give more choices on parts interchange.

I worked on the Charger today. I got the drivers door stuff installed but still waiting for the rear view mirrors and the gas cap to get painted from MAACO before I throw the door panels on. As we all know the window sweeps are a scarce item in good condition on these cars but I didn't just want to throw mine back on the car. I looked at the ones JCWhitney has and none of the profiles really looked like they would work for me. I took a look at mine and seen the cracks in them didn't go all the way down and were still semi-flexible. So I decided to trim about 1/4" off the top of them. Now they actually don't look to bad. Sure they're not like new but no one who isn't familiar with these cars is really going to notice they were cut. They still sweep the window because they were one of the widest sweeps I've seen on any of my cars. All of the quarter glass and sail panels are on now too. It's looking great, can't wait to finish putting all the decals on. I will try this week to get the glass in the hatch. I'm a little nervous about doing that one since the seal is a one piece unlike the older seal on the Turismo that has the lock you have to pus into the seal. Any advice on installing the glass? Which corner should be the last to pop in- the top or the bottom or does it really make a difference? I don't want to break the glass. I'll lube the seal with Armor All before so it's nice and slippery.

Who is all planning on going to BIR next wednesday for the streel legals? I plan on taking the omni there and see what it does on street tires. Was thinking of leaving work around 3 and being there by 4.

Hi all...Been gone for awhile. Got a free trial internet setup (Verizon) in my house in Cheeseland today and I'm putting it to good use.
BOB!! new job!?! hope it's going well. I know what you mean starting over, I'm working as a part-time apartment painter now, and have a boss so young he can't drink in a bar, lol.
Just finished my stint as a "carney" at the State Fair, and now have time to get to my pile of TD stuff, and hope to get something running soon.

Hi Todd.

I thought you fell off the face of the earth. Glad to hear from you.
Yep, new job. I went from hardly any hours to way too many. I have no life anymore. But I can afford it! LOL. After 30 years at the window company, this is a change. I already feel like I've been at this place a long time. It's the long hours. It seems like I'm always there.

I won't be able to make it to Osceola this weekend. I'm pretty bummed about that. That's a great car show that I look forward to.

There was an '89 Lancer Shelby on craigslist and last night I noticed the price had dropped again. Now it's gone. Who bought it? It looked nice. The last price said $2000.

Bradd and everyone,
That date was an error. Right now it's up in the air. Jims out of town till the 10th and I work every Saturday til 2pm. We were thinking about the 15th of October. (If that's a Saturday) or possibly the 16th (Sunday) And maybe meet at Wagners in BP at 2pm. Then go from there. I know we wanted to go early in the morning so we could have a great start, but this whole summer has been busy for me with my new job and Jim with his many travels. LOL. We never got to find a cool area to drive to. We wanted to head south down the WI side of the St.Croix/Mississippi rivers. It's scenic. We were thinking about a pot luck type picnic and get lots of great pictures for a club calendar. But neither one of us has had the time to scout this out. We were really wanting to do this better than the cruise we (Basically Bob and Bradd and 1/2 of Jim) had last year. But working 6-7 days a week and sleeping the rest of the time hasn't allowed me to check out a good route. If we met at Wagners, I'd be available since I work right next door and "usually" get off at 2pm on Saturdays. Jim would be there too. But we'd need Ideas so we could leave right away and get to a great scenic place before it got dark. We still would like to have the picnic thing so we wouldn't eat at Wagners and could leave right away. We could bring a grill and burgers and dogs and if everyone brought more, that would be great. (I make a fantastic apple cake from scratch and would bring one!!! (Thanks to my first Wife for the recipe)
Who would go if we had this on Saturday the 15th. We need a show of hands. I'm 95% sure I'd be there. Jim, 100% We'd really need to be on time or super close to it.
Thanks everyone,
Bob
(I'll relay info to Jim also. He's in California right now)

Belt tensioner? LOL. Yeah, it's near the front door. I bring it with to most meetings. I'll make sure I have it and can also deliver it if you need it right away. I may make the R/T my winter car again this year if I can't get the Horizon going. My Red Charger needs a head gasket as of yesterday and the Daytona needs a clutch. The GLHS.....I don't remember what it needs. I drove it last night for the first time in over a month. I guess a heater and wiper motor comes to mind.

No real rush for the gauge, I will just need it sometime this winter to add an idler pulley.
