I would like to attend the meeting on Saturday, but I'll be in Rochester all day. I want to show of my "new" Shelby Dakota.

OK, by "new" Shelby Dakota, do you mean the one from Blaine? Or the super expensive one that no-one could afford on ebay. Or something in between?

I noticed the ad on CL is gone. Hmmmm.....

I bought the one on Craigslist. Its the same truck I owned 11 years ago.

So what kind of work did it need? The price got so low that I figured it was thrashed. Now the guys at work can stop asking me if I bought the truck yet. LOL. So it drives?

I drove it home, but it ran hot and the brakes were barely there. The coolant was only 1.5 gallons low. The left rear wheel cylinder is leaking. It shook like mad the faster it went. I put two front tires on it and the shakes went away. I'm working on the transmission now. Its shifts very hard. The TV adjustment is way off. All that said, the truck drives very well. The worst part is that the body is very rusty. The paint is very faded and there's hail damage on the hood and roof. I will be on the look out for a nice bed assemlby. The roof I will repair and the hood will be replaced along with the left fender. I'm restoring a 73 Duster now, so the truck will happen slowly. For now, I'm just going to drive it here and there. It was so much nicer when I used to own it.

I wanted your Dakota when you were selling it. I even saw it sitting in front of Abra on 12 while I was out on a job. One day I hope to find one.
I'm glad to see it went to someone that will be able to fix those issues. I wanted to see the truck, but have too many cars now so I never called the guy. I'm glad you bought it. Now I don't have to think about trying to free up any space for it.
You'll have to go bowling with us in December so we can see it. We always have a great time bowling. It's our most popular meeting!

I will see what happens. You might be a little disappointed that you didn't call the buy on the truck if you knew what I paid for it.

As long as that thing was down to $1000, I'm sure you got it for a steal. The price was cheap enough, I just don't like working on vehicles anymore. I want to buy and drive.

See that little circle thing on the road? I *think* the entrance is on the west side of it. Nobody shoot me if I am wrong though. I have only been there once. A girl and I were going to go eat at Toby Keith's, but there was a huge wait to get in so we ended up going elsewhere. Thats how I know about it. It was cold and dark that night and I wasn't sure where exactly I was.

When I was there, there was no charge for parking. At least I somehow got in and out without forking anything over. I am not sure if it is like that all the time or not.

Anybody interested in a 2.5 inch sv. It has been bead blasted, retap cleanup of O2 bung threads, and baked on high temp paint. Im about to post on the main for sale forum for $65 shipped so $55 locally if were just talking a local hand to hand exchange

If you're coming from 394, turn left off Park Pl onto 16th st. Then right at West End Blvd, then right again to go down the ramp.

Has anybody heard of foreign world auto in chaska( believe thats the right name). Drove by today and there sat a RED 87/88 DAYTONA JUST OUTSIDE THE GATE AND COULD SEE A (sorry about the caps) 85-86 ish lebaron up against the outside fence. Walked in and talked to the guy sitting behind the counter. Well sat there for a bit before he even said hi and went downhill from there. Anybody else been there?

I've been there. I work up the hill in Eden Prairie. I donated a 1990 Shelby Daytona VNT to them. (I still have some of the parts from that car). They treated me fine. They just don't have customer service as the main priority.
