I just had a pop. Not bad!
We ended up going to Anoka afterwards and hung out there till after 11:00. The show is over at 9pm. Plus it was a slow night so not a lot of cars. I borrowed Justin an extra GPS I had on me so he could check his speedometer on the GLH. He's running 205-55-15's on it. When I got it back it read 99.1 for a top speed. (it was cleared before I gave it to him) He and Jim blew by me on highway 10 in Coon Rapids on the way there. (they didn't know I was trying) I need to get that car figured out.

The get together at Porky's was great. I think we had like 11-12 cars? All FWD Mopars. Turbo Van, 2 GLH cars, 86 GLHS, 87 GLHS, 89 VNT CSX, Spirit R/T, Shadow ES turbo convertible, 92 High Torque GTC TI convertible, PT Cruiser with 16" Pumpers, 87 TII Shelby Daytona, and and ........Did I miss anyone?

Bob, the funny thing is I didn't even shift down when I was trying to keep up to Jim. I just left it in 5th and hammed on it. So what was your car doing exactly, was it boosting? The whole trip over the last few days I burnt a quart of oil and only got 25 mpg. I think its time to find a TII bottom end and throw it in the GLH.

You guys got a few races in? I wish I would have tagged along. I have my boost dialed in right at edge of fuel cut (still using stock computer). Jim, when we were coming back from Mopars at the Park I was at 11-12 psi. It feels a lot better now. I will probably throw the Stage 3 cal, injectors, and 3 bar map in soon and crank it up some more.

Anyway... I ended up losing at the casino like I predicted. Oh well it was fun, except for the losing money part.

What was the fun part? Just kidding. My car doesn't seem to be boosting. My gauge isn't working at the time. It feels like it wants to boost but kind of comes and goes. I'm going to check the lower hose and see if I sprung a leak. There was a leak and I did a temperary repair per Todd. It probably held but i'm going to check. I've dbl checked all the other hoses after installing my Heim joint linkage and all looks fine. No codes. I'm pretty sure the ignition timing hasn't changed but I'll check that too. I'm pretty sure the distributor is tight. I don't think it's cam timing because it was running awesome and then after working on the car, it wasn't the same. Sounds like mechanic error doesn't it? I can't see anything I could have disturbed.
Jim, Wednesday. Rematch. Any short street should do.

Played with the car again today. Advanced the Cam timing one tooth. Spooled faster and got just enough to get a little squeel. Didn't notice what it spooled to though.
It spooled hard all the way through second and back fired into third.

I'll drive it for a few days and throw a for sale sign in it...It's time for it to go.
I'de settle for $2500 if someone knows someone, but I'm gonna put $3000 OBO in the window.

Bob, I was kind of odd that we did blow past you like that, I hope you find out what is wrong with it.
Jim, PM is sent.
So are you guys still heading to U pull on Wed? If so would you mind if I tagged along? I could use some Omni parts.

I had fun hanging out with a good friend of mine which doesn't happen that much anymore since I moved to the south burbs. I always was a pretty smart gambler (if there is a such thing) but I used to play black jack a couple times a week and I am glad I stopped while I was ahead. I just don't feel like I can do that anymore of even want to spark up the old flame so I stuck to the cheap game of 25 cent video poker. Black Jack was a lot of fun when dealers couldn't hit soft 17's.

If the cam timing was off a tooth that would be the reason it spooled so slow before. Hopefully it feels a lot better now, should feel like a whole new car.

I'm going to be there. I do need a certain part that I keep forgetting about when I'm at the yards. I have to work until at least 3:30 that day. I probably won't get there until 4:30. They stop letting people in at 6pm.
I don't really have to go there, but like garage sales..........I can't resist. They only have the 2 blue horizons right now. But you never know what may come in in the next day or two. Please remind me to grab that rubber piece up by the cowl area if I forget. It's the only thing I need that they have at this time.

What are you looking for? I "might" have a line on a complete running car, not sure if it has a title though. It is not a GLH-T just a normal Omni for really cheap. I might want it but I would have to get rid of something... Or I should say that I "should" get rid of something.

Not sure about the color or even the condition of the car. A friend of mine plays poker with the guy that owns it, he bought it for a demolition derby car but I guess it is in pretty good shape and pretty straight.

If I had to I would get rid of either my 89 turbo Spirit or my red R/T.

So I got to drive Bob's GLHS last night! It doesn't pull right but it sure is a nice car. Jim you missed out, there was actually a turbo car at U Pull and it had a strange aftermarket mopar casset player in it.
