Jim,
Are you going to want me to bring the truck lid? Or do you want to swing by and pick it up?
I'm going to go outside and pull the spoiler off that old hatch today. I hope it warms up a bit.
Give me a call when you can.

I know they call it "Sport Compact" days, but are they strict, or is it more of a street car days?
I'm just wondering if they'll let me run my truck.

They might let you run but I don't know. I would call them ahead of time and ask. I think every once in a while a truck or SUV will get in a few runs.
I should be there.

I'll be at the meeting. I am really sick and tired of this cold. There's not much else to do today... other than pay heat bills and file taxes.
The sport compact day is pretty strict. They disallow Mustangs, Camaros, and Pintos there due to their obvious disadvantage. LOL. Its actually probably due to the volume of vehicles that such a race event would attract if these cars were invited to the event. "Sport compacts" are a different crowd. Of course, there were plenty of supercharged Grand Prix's there, and they are hardly a compact car.
If it wasn't a busy day, and you just wanted to run time trials, you might be able to sweet talk the track officials into a couple runs with a truck. I would not count on it. As far as actually competing, that would not happen. The officials are kinda jerks--I'd ask them a few simple questions about things like helmets and seat belts (which they NEVER inspected on my car) while I was there and they would never even look at me or say anything back. It was like talking to a brick wall, and I speak perfect English. WTF?

Is this the thread we respond to, to say we'll be there? If so, I will be there.
I'm not too bright. Ask Ryan.
I better get busy. I need to check the air in the tires on my Dad's car in North MPLS., and then drive Mom's car and see what the banging noise is. "Mom, It's a Dodge, they do that"!
Pull a spoiler off for Jim. Get a hair cut. Hmmmm. Wash the car. Install a stereo. I may not make it. J/K.
See everyone in a while.

I talked to him via e-mail. I think it's a set deal.
I will use the turbo from my '89, since I won't be re-using it, and I'll have to get an exhaust.

That looked like a pretty nice car. I assume it still has the 2 piece manifold and 555 in it? If so, should be pretty good deal. have you seen more pics of it?

No more pics, but he assures it's as nice around as the pictures shown.
Only things noted are the bad turbo, no headliner, faded drivers door, and a handful of new parts inside the car that should go on the car.
Sounds like about a days worth of work to have the car in top shape once again.
He works all weekend, but I think I can pick it up Monday or Tuesday.
Sounds like I'll finaly have a TD for the next meet!

Lucky you If I were younger, I'd get outside and slip my other tranny in to the GTC. If the weather cooperates, I should have something else running by our next meet. I just did a ton of work on the Sundance since last month. Front brakes, struts, ball joints, tie rod ends, drivers side drive axle, (torch torched the boot of the old one) low mileage control arms for better rubber and a headliner. That should be enough to get me motivated to fix something I actually like.
I think maybe I will go out and start pulling a few parts off the GTC. That may help get me started.
