What do you think is wrong with the GTC? I have an extra fuel pump and sender from the Daytona if thats the problem?
So how long did the boost last after you hit the horn? That could be pretty awesome, just hit the horn and more power! Well after you unpug the horn I guess.

I don't know what's wrong with it. I just haven't had a chance to look at it.
What I did with the Shelby is this. When I pull the vacuum hose off the wastegate solenoid, the boost was back. So, I just added another solenoid between the solenoid and the wastegate. When 12 volts is applied, it's like pulling the hose. It's open to the atmosphere. That took about 3 minutes to hook up. Then I thought where was I going to run the wires and do I have a switch? Hmmmm. As I was looking at the solenoid, I noticed it was right next to the horn. Hmmmm. Big switch on the steering wheel and already wired. So, when I want more than 5 lbs, I push and hold the horn. It worked. I did it for fun. As it is, I already disconnected it. But darnit, it worked!
Chris, I don't know any body shops myself. There's at least one person in our local club that works at a bodyshop. He may be able to tell you where to go.
How long have you been here? You're going to have to come to some of our MNSDAC get togethers. The next (I'm sure you already saw) is at Car Craft in two weeks. Any future plans of putting together another Rampage? (With a Shelby complex)

I work at ABRA Auto Body. Not a whole lot I can do to give you a hook up, just take a couple bucks off the hourly rate and make sure the work is top notch.
However I can tell you that right now we are booked well into August due to all the hail. We are doing really well though, some other shops are booked through September!!!

does the car in question only get about 7psi tops? I haven't read all but a few lines in reguards to the car..
mite be a leaky actuator.. I had that issue with GLHS 0058..
As soon as I have my own place I will definatly find another L trucklet..
I want to go a different direction with it engine wize tho.. Sacrilege to most
I'm currently shacking up with sister to help her out, repair hail damage, retrofit her basement into 2 bedrooms and a master bath.. ect..
Yeah, that hail damage was a trip..
I wasn't here for that, I've been here in MN for about 2 weeks..
The next meet I'd totally like to make, but I have to do some repair
work to my grandparents house up north from some wind damage and build a patio/stairs, ect.
I'll be down for the next meet for sure tho..
Don't mind my Toyota when I roll through....

It'll hit 7 on a good day. Usually 5 though. The thing is, it was boosting fine for about 5 days. Changed the linkage to Heim joints and has been like 5lbs since. One month now. There was a couple hours the other night where the boost was fine. Jumped up to 12-14 without a problem and no overboost. But the car was idling at about 3000-3500. I wiggled the wires and plugged and unplugged stuff and it got better. But now the #$@%'n boost is gone again. I was testing the car tonight, I tried to work on some of the grounds. The idle was fine for a half hour. Went in to a White Castle. Came out and now the #$%@'n car is idling super high again. This POS is pi$$ing me off so much right now. I've had the POS for 11 months now and have only experienced the car running good for 5 days. This is frustrating as anything. A friend says the TPS probably has ground issues, but I checked that and it looks like it's grounded OK.
What the heck am I missing. I swear the longer I drive this stuff the worse the problems get.

I don't know what you mean by that, but we have a guy here that has an 87 Shelby Charger that has a RWD 3.8 SuperCharged GM motor. I can't wait to see the finished product. He's getting close.

wow, not much room for those Buick GS engines..
I'm sure thats what he's using if its a factory blown engine..
Their rather decent in stock form for hauling those boats around..
I'd either going with a full out economy route with a small 1.0 or 1.3 engine or something a little more peppy like a last gen Celica GTS engine.

Shoot, I went out of my way to get a carbed car. I got such great mileage from an old 83 Charger 2.2 5 speed that i wanted a similar set-up. That's why I bought the 87 Horizon. Now if the Shelby ever decides to run right for a few days, maybe I can get that car going.
Today, after playing with the wires again, I got the car to do everything right, except for the boost. On the way home from work the car was a nightmare.
Last night I saw this book on Ebay. "Shelby Dodge CSX GLHS 2.2 Turbo Mopar Performance Book" I always wanted one. I did a search afterwards and found it dirt cheap somewhere else. I ordered it. Today, on the way home from work, I stopped at a garage sale. (I like sales) A guy across the street see's my Shelby and comes over to talk to me. He asks if I want to buy the "same" book. Slightly older version. I started laughing and told him I wish I would have talked to him last night. He did ask if I wanted an 86Chrysler wiring diagram book. I said sure. It doesn't have any TII cars, but bodywise, there's a lot of good info.
