I guess it's Friday through Sunday. I don't think a lot of people go Friday, but what do I know. I'm getting there as early as I can on Saturday. I'll be there Saturday and Sunday. I'm pre-registered and for $45, I better take advantage of it. Whether the car runs very well or not, I don't know. It took it another victim tonight. I was afraid Paul was going to hurt my car.
We tried a scanning tool on it and it didn't like my car. I do have the memories of the car running great those 5 days in June. You can't take that away from me. And as long as I don't clear my GPS, I still have proof it was running good.
I'm about to start removing parts from my other GLHS.

I am planning on going to Car Craft on Saturday. It is an all weekend event that starts on Friday. I will not be showing cars or anything unless I score a few extra bucks this week.
Bryan... a little off topic, but maybe you could get together with Bob and try that scanner out on his GLHS. Mine didn't work so hot to say the least. I am unsure as to why. Among the other erroneous-appearing data showing up on my scanner, it said that a couple cylinders had about 33 degrees of knock retard--enough for the logic module to say, "hey, not so much boost." I do not know for sure though. I'd need to spend several hours on it manually checking sensor voltages at the logic moduleto get it figured out. Even then I may not be so lucky... or so smart after all.

No Way! Are you sure that thing isn't a 73 1/2 SC? I can't believe a car in the 80's would have an AM radio. To all the young guys reading this, an AM radio is......................Oh, never mind.
I'll have to check it out. Are you going to be around tomorrow evening? I'd like to get that wiring and puters from you.

This is a public apology to Paul for wasting his time last night. He couldn't make heads or tails of my car problems. I switched the logic module with my spare stage II I had here since I bought it 6+ years ago and guess what, the stupid car doesn't do anything wrong. The idle is down and the boost is up. I left his place last night with "cruise control". I rarely had to use the gas pedal. Tonight after work the car was being more of a pain than usual. So, I switched LM's and have been smiling ever since. Sorry paul. The scanner probably works just fine with an 87 car. Mine was just that screwed up.

Thats how my brothers 84 Omni came, center speaker with AM radio. Bob, I'm happy that you got some of the problems in the GLHS fixed. So are you going to let me drive it now that it runs right? I can't wait until I get my GLH up and going again, hopefully without any problems.

You did that on purpose, didn't ya!
Bob--->   <----Paul
That probably confirms all the wacko scanner readings we were getting. I'd like to hook it up again and see what it says now. I'm gonna have to return this scanner eventually though...

So, what time is everyone going to get to Car Craft? I guess there's not a lot of us showing their cars. I'll be there early tomorrow. I hope.
I just fixed my tripometer and put new numbers in my odometer. Don't worry, I set it to the same numbers as the original ones were at. Those were scratched up. I wonder if someone didn't set the odometer back years ago? I also changed tachs. The other one worked fine, but with the lens off the instrument cluster, I noticed how cracked up the face of the original was. I bet it was like that from the factory. I also put a brighter white back on the cluster so I'm sure the gauges will be a bit brighter. Then polished the lens. Absolutely scratch free. I can't wait to see what it looks like in the car.

Bob, so is that the cluster we got out of the Horizon at u pull? I am hopping to get to Car Craft sometime late moring but I don't think it will happen. We have a little work to finish on the GLH in the morning but at least the motor is in. Jason's 84 Omni 2.5 intercooled turbo should be ready it just needs an altinator belt in the morning. So where is everyone parking tomorrow?

Hey Bob, you want me to bring the harness and stuff with me to the show?
|
  |
Sure. I'll stop by your car. If it's the same corner as you were about 2 years ago, I'll know where to find you. I did take a few pictures of your Shelby. The president of the AMC club was thinking about it, but he figured he didn't need it. Too bad. He does really nice body work. That car has potential.

No idea. I used parts from that cluster and the one in the Horizon. I mixed a lot of parts to get the best I could get. Now my tripometer works and I can see it at night! I also put a new headlight switch in because the dash lights were so dim. That helped a lot. But best of all, the Shelby is running great and people are having a hard time trying to get the best of me.
Tonight I saw a new Black Challenger. WOW! That was nice. That makes black, silver and orange ones I've seen. All in the same area of St. Paul.
