Well, We've got a month before Mopars in the Park. Is everyone ready? I don't think I'll ever be ready. Last year, I switched insurance to my GLHS the night before after I realized I really wanted to drive that car there. Then I also installed my nicer front CS buckets that morning, just before going to the car show. This year, I don't know. I, as usual, have a ton of cars to repair before that date. Then being the start of GARAGE SALE season. Don't laugh.
I also have a new car. I bought an 87 Horizon. We needed gas mileage and found what I've been looking for for quite a while. A 2.2 carburated 5 speed car. The plus is, It's in pretty good shape for it's year and has 45,000 actual miles. I just wish it didn't need tranny work already. I'm not sure what's wrong with it, but the guy selling it to me says someone told him something about a bent shift fork. At least that's what he thinks someone said. Time will tell.
Well I better get busy. I can't bring that home until I clean the garage. I have to "Hide" one of my cars so the neighbor doesn't get too bummed about the latest addition.

Well Bob, if you need a little help making room. I might need a 5 speed for the Turismo if you have a good one.
|
  |
Brad,
I need to hang on to the 525's now more than ever. Having 3 cars with that tranny. Did you happen to see that Omni on craigslist?
I have a feeling the guy that bought my Shelby Charger last summer owns this car. It was on ebay a couple weeks ago.

Did we ever consider an early May meeting? or are we just sticking with Mopars in the Park?
I will get the rest of the parts for the Shelby Z by Thursday, except for the swingvalve. I hope to have it back up and running in about two weeks or so...see how long it takes to get the head finished and checked.

Yeah, Mopars in the Park is it. So are you going to bring your Daytona to the show?

So about an hour ago i just got T-boned in my 86 turbo Z.... i'm pretty sure they will total it, but the only place i can find a value for it is in the classic car section of the nadaguides.com which says its worth from 3300-8800 lol. all my car needed was some paint, and door seals.... I was looking forward to the next MNSDAC meet at rock falls
Anyone have a T2 car they are selling?

That's really too bad. That was a nice car. I hope you find something. I don't know off hand any TII cars other than Alex's TII GLH. <Link

Yeah, from about 6 inches infront of the LF fender all the way to the middle of the drivers door is pushed in about 4 inches. the LF wheel is most likely bent and its fairly obvious that the strut if not more is bent. Some friends of mine have a performance shop and they have a 1G talon for 2k. If they total it i'll probably buy it back and part it out, and cross over to the Dark SM side.
Funny thing is that kelly blue book doesn't list that car as they only go back 20 years, and then the car is listed as a "Classic". Only place i found a value for it was nadaguides and in poor condition it lists at 3350, average 5500, and exellent 8800. All that car needed was some paint and some minar floor board work.

Price just reduced on that R/T... $2800 now? Head is probably cracked though.
We should get together in May sometime before Mopars in the Park. Anyone up for Porkys this Saturday night? I hope on at least swinging by there then.

I may go there. It is the biggest garage sale day of the year though. LOL. I'll be driving the convertible. Naturally I haven't gotten either Shelby running yet. Or the new Horizon.
What are you driving, Paul?

I don't even have my Dakota or Shadow out of storage. I've been working on the garage trying to get it all sheet rocked. I won't be able to attend any meetings before Mopars in the Park.

Hey guys I am hoping to have my '86 GLH turbo finished by Mopars in the park. Regardless if it is ready, my brother and I will probably be there to check out some of the awesome cars.
