Count me in for sure, I live in La Crosse so its only 3 hours!!!!! Whats the deal with the camp ground reservations or hotel reservations, oh and beer. Whats the deal with the beer? Beer and TD's mmmmm , this sounds like a very interesting time!! Alot of the same people with the same crazy interests, drinking lots of beer. Someone might have to "borrow" me some beer, or maybe my mommy will buy some for me (not 21 yet ) I might not be there with a TD sorry guys, I found a really bad ass Turbo brick, hopefully things work out so I can get it!! Otherwise Granny mobile will be there, sporting the "its a jungle in here" window shade.:big grin:

Figures last year its MD after I move from MD to Chicago.Now its going to be in the Chitown area and Ill be in MD that weekend racing.Ill never get to one at this rate!

You never can tell where or when Dempsey will show up. The Great Lakes Chapter had it's first Chase The Winter Blues Away in early 1998 and Dempsey was one of the few that were there (Edgar Lucas from Indy drove in with him).

And his appearance at SDAC-10 was a pleasant surprise to us also. Hmmm .... both of those events were held in Ann Arbor Mich, I wonder if that city is the draw to him?

This year we are holding our 7th annual CTWBA. I applaud Dempsey for helping to found one of our chapter's most popular local events. That year we only had 5 or 6 people attend, since then it has peaked at about 30 folks, and averages in the high teens or so (weather dependant).

Barry, when and what is the GL's CTWBA? Maybe it would be a good topic for another post. There's nothing going on in Chicago this time of year.

I'll post the info to the SDAC mailing list. It is somewhat attendance controlled as space is limited so I don't want to get into it on this board. All GL members should be getting their newsletter in a day or two with full details. They were mailed today.

Ann Arbor's proximity to Dayton Ohio was a definite factor as that's where I grew up; on both trips I also spent time with the family while I was out east. But scheduling just happened to fall into place for both of these events... and I always felt Carsten was sorta like the brother I never had, anway.

I haven't made any surprise appearances in the last couple years because I've been spending all my vacation time attending various NASCAR races around the country. While I will be attending the 2004 race at Vegas, it will be the only one I see live--this year I'm using my vacation to hit Mopars at the Strip, SDAC, and maybe some other random turbo Dodge drag event later in the year. (Mopar Nats? Who knows.)

i'm in - i think that GTSandGLH is starting a convoy if im not mistaken
