Sunday, May 16th is the local (W)Import day at Edgewater here in Cincy.

Always good for a laugh, see the Performance Import Enthusiasts
(P.I.E.'s) embarrass themselves with blistering quarter miles!!

2 bracket classes, quick 8 and a domestic class for us American cars + show classes.

Gates at 9:30, racin at 1:00PM, $10 to watch...

Supposed to be a beautiful day, James Reeves and Joe O'Conner are racing.

Many others should show up to watch the two 11 second Turbo Dodges.....

You should enter the Shelby Charger in the show class!!

i was actually plannin on that i think as long as i can get some wax and wash on er in time lol

i will be there provided the days lookin good in the morning any ideas on money to enter the show class

I got my new slicks on today (Thanks Gary!). Headlight covers (made em out of lexan) and new headlights. Replaced all rough hex head screws in the fender wells with smooth phillips head (expect rubbing in turns!). Tightened hood and adjusted (had been flappin in the wind).

Supposed to be really nice tomorrow....75* I think!

Almost everything is loaded up...ready for early departure!

wish i could have made it but i woke up feelin pretty sick and just couldnt get up enough to wash wax vaccum and what not hope it was a safe day for all and fun to boot ill be at wimport day in oct no matter what

Only car we needed to worry about in the quick 8 was a high 10sec VW bug. But, he broke in the time trials, so I thought Joe and I would have it in the bag!

Well, to make a long story short, Joe broke an axle in the first elimination run. I'm not sure what the hell happened to me...as the car went totally ignorant coming out of the hole, hit 2nd and went on a ride towards the wall, let out, hit it again...still spinnin. 13.0 sec!! I still cannot believe it myself! I haven't ran anything worse than mid 12's even when I was just playin around tunin and letting of in the 1/8th!! A **** 12.50sec talon beat me!! ARRGGHH!!

Oh well....still got $50. Not the $350 I was hopin for..but it bought us some beer on the way home!
