Nothing really special happened.
Only thing to report is how dang straight the car takes off now thanks to the Alabama Man Diff!
(And tightening the steering rack helped I am sure.)
But sweet leaving the line at 15 lbs of boost and it goes straight, I can actually look at the gauges now instead of wrestling with the steering!
1st run I blew in I/C connection.
So this guy comes up to me on a little scooter and says "You got a Turbo in there?"
I replied with a "Yes".
"What Turbo?"
-50 Trim (limiting information at this point, because typically people do not have a clue any way!)
"How much boost?"
34 psi
"How much HP do you think you make?"
337 to the wheels
"Where do you dyno?"
At Hi-Tech in Ramsey, MN.
(So far nothing shocks him, most people think 34 psi is a lot)
"What is your best time?"
11.52 @ 114.73
"Nice, What do you do for fuel management?"
Factory electronics with a Calibration from a guy out East.
"Oh, Forward Motion"
No, Gary Donovan
"You should put straps on your Intercooler connections, that is what I do on my car."
Oh, what do you have?
"A Mitsubishi Eclipse"
Not racing today?
"No, I came to watch a few friends, Do you follow Sport Compact racing much?"
A little, I know who is fast anyway.
(Extends his hand) "Well My name is Brent Rau."
Ah, yeah, you are fast!
"Thanks"
So we chatted a little more and talked a little about his car.
Over 1100 HP to the flywheel.
42 lbs of boost
2.0 Mitz with 11.3:1 compression. (Wow!)
Before he left he said that my engine is "Just Wrong".
And admitted he was baffled when he looked at the engine bay and seen nothing on the front of the engine, he figured that was the intake on top because of the throttle body, but was having trouble finding the exhaust! Funny!
