I went, Steve Lockett and his crew, a red Daytona (I'm terrible with names) and a white shadow convertible (Dempsy?). Evan Nappe and his sons came with his beautiful white Daytona that he's selling.
There was a Turbo Dodge bracket class and a heads-up class. I signed up for the heads-up class (knowing that Steve was going to whoop me, but I could at least beat up on a bunch of SRT4s. When they found out we'd (mostly Steve) be racing against them, they asked to have a SRT4 only heads up class. So that left only me and Steve in the heads up class.
Needless to say, Steve won (with a 10.3) and I came in 2nd. Once the SRTs bailed out of the class, I really should have switched to the bracket class, but I decided to keep Steve company. My car, with the brand new BFGs, could not hook up at all, so I ran a best of 12.1 for the day.
My younger son, Evan, came and raced his minivan for the first time. It's a 2.5, ATX with a T3 and +20s and stock Daytona Intercooler, running 15psi boost. He ran a 15.7 with a 2.4 short time (he needs some real tires bad).
Mike Radowski came late and time trialed his new, very brown, Rampage against one of the fastest EVOs around, who also came late. Not only did the rampage beat the EVO, but he had to tow the guy back because the EVOs blew his motor. Now that's what I call a "Sport Utility" vehicle. The Rampages first pass ever was a 12.2, so there's alot more potential here.
The Mitsus raced against themselves, but I got to race against one of their heads up racers in time trials and easily whipped him.
The TurboTrix EVO went 9.8, but also broke an oil pump and who knows what else.
TurboTrix also brought their Turbo Dodge car, but did not race it because of a minor issue. It was a Twin Turbo Viper!!!!! (drool).
There should be a bunch of videos soon. I can host them, so feel free to email me.
Hope I didn't miss anybody.
