How about a TD picnic on Saturday 19th with a catch. Looking for some help so we can repair BMXRider's Turbo vert. I'm supplying burgers, dogs, chicken and ribs along with regular and adult beverages. He possibly has a cracked or warped head, so with some helpers we could gang up on his ride and make it happen in short order. Between James and myself we should have more than enough parts. And the sooner we are done the sooner we can get to serious drinking - well, ok ..... bench racing.......
Bring your TD so we can take some pics. Parking is no issue here (10 acres), and as a bonus you could even see the sad group of TDs in need of repair that I have amassed.
LMK if you can come by, or just stop by even just to say hello. Families are welcome, my wife and son will be here, wife loves to cook - any doubts, just look at the size of me! Video games in 65" HD for the kids (big kids too, although I stink at Halo!)
Mapquest address: 2225 S. Geyers Church Rd. Middletown, Pa. 17057
Staying over Saturday night is possible, have a large house and even a travel trailer for sleeping space. Any questions, LMK here or denviola@aol.com. Thanks!
Denny Viola

NO PS2 here, Xbox and game cube.
We may do Sunday instead if more people prefer it. Far as I can see looking into the crystal ball (Weather.com) we may be OK either day.

You guys should know the DV-SDAC is having a meeting/get together in Hershey on the 20th.
http://www.dv-sdac.org/meetings.htm
Perhaps we can coordinate a trip over to help after the meeting.

Here is what is up. Looks like a two-day deal and a great excuse to get the car out after the winter hibernation. Some folks have told me they can do Saturday, some Sunday, no problem.
Saturday Morning early, tow James' car to my house, should be home by noon.
Saturday afternoon, engine thrash, food and refreshments provided into evening.
Sunday - continue with engine thrash if necessary, otherwise PICNIC !
Bring your cars, families welcome as stated in message 1 of this thread.
The AACA museum is 15-20 minutes away from my house, so DV SDAC members and any other TDers are welcome to stop by.
Please note that we have dogs and cats at the house, info for anyone with allergies.
Drop me a line if you can get by, hope to meet all of you.

Matt, you have so much go-fast stuff in your signature that I'm wondering how it all fits in your car (LOL).
LynX853, Plenty of tools here no need to bring any unless you are like me and never travel without them!
Hope to see you, and all the local TDers -
I forget the names of the TDers in the York area and any other locals, so I'm hoping you are reading this thread!

That sounds good Mike!
I could meet up with you guys at the museum and then we could have a TD convoy over to Denny's.

Excellent Mike (Greedy). I wrote to the other Mike (Contraption22) about extending the invite to the DV group.
See you folks this weekend! I wanna see some TDs on the road too, since none of mine are right now, although I should have one ready in 2 weeks.
Oh, BTW, I understand the annual car show at Saturday's Market is April 10th. I won't be home for that one, making the annual pilgrimage to Martinsville.

We ended last night with the old engine out, and will start reassembly today. This is a classic example of not doing diagnosis before work, and I want to thank Matt for steering us back in the right direction. We were convinced that it had to be the cylinder head, and didn't consider what the symptoms were telling us - oil coming out the dipstick, etc may mean pressure is getting in the bottom end. Once we explained the symptoms to Matt, he immediately started rocking the pistons in the bores! oops..., and Matt saying something about how he earned that knowledge...
So, a couple of relative newbies on opposite ends of the age scale have learned a valuable lesson. Thanks again Matt.
The offer to stop by still stands to anyone interested, I have set up my travel trailer with the awning down so there is ample space out of the weather for refreshments.
