Dodge is bringing out the next iteration of the Challenger Hellcat, bringing back a name from its storied muscle car history: Demon.

The new Challenger SRT Demon will be revealed at the 2017 New York Auto Show in April, though no other details have been released on the car besides the new Demon logo. Expect it to make more power than the 707 horsepower currently on tap from the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 found in the Hellcat models.

The first in a string of video teasers has also been released, showing the Hellcat turning into the Demon. If you watch closely, you can also catch a few quick glimpses of the new Challenger model, and Dodge says that each video will be filled with hints and easter eggs.

Dodge saw such a strong response to the Hellcat in 2015 that the brand doubled production of the car in 2016, a trend it would surely like to keep going.

'Most cars attempt to be everything to everybody. Then there are the rare few that revel in a single objective, rendering them totally irresistible to a subculture,' said Tim Kuniskis, head of passenger car brands – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT – FCA North America. 'The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is conceived, designed and engineered for a subculture of enthusiasts who know that a tenth is a car and a half second is your reputation.'
