90 prototype v6 turbo vs 2002 corvette

first off i dont street race, i dont even drive the car very often anymore since i found autocross. autocross is my first love, ahem 2007 GS champion with my stock duster. anyways this race was on a closed road with plenty of room.

this was in my 90 daytona with one of the prototype 3.0l v6 setups vs a unknown modded 2002 non z06 corvette. ran across a young guy around 22 in a red corvette. i heard him down shift so i do the same into second. i give three honks and its on. boost is instant by the top of 2nd his rear is about at my quarter pannely, grab second and hes falling back quickly. end of third he is about 2 cars behind me. wish i had 4th, had to let off and grab breakes.

afterwards he says "wow that one threw me for a loop, what kind of car is that?"

i say, "daytona"

he says "you got a turbo on that?"

i say " no just a v6" and drive away

lmao night all had to share i never even drive this car anymore
