prelude trys against the mini!!

so im out last night taking back a movie and then just diving around looking for some fun (since its REALY hard around here to get a race in my van) when i see a new honda prelude up ahead. im in second gear (auto) cause 3rd gear is about done) and i stomp on it upto this kid and his friend and let off to match there speed, and of course since im in second gear with an open swing valve on my holset, its reving down and popping a bit REALY loudly!!!!! buddy notices this rage of noise beside him with his open window and emediatly down shifts and stomps on it..... i do the same
by the time my holset hit 30psi he was about a head light in front of me.... and then in about a half second, he was 10 cars behind wile im breaking the tires loose into 2nd and then into 3rd!! ha ha ha ha!!!!! poor bastard! dont mess with somthing that WILL emberess you when you loose!!
thats gota be the first race ive had in m van for almost 8 months!!

i dont have any vids of it but specs are....
totaly gutted, aluminum race seat, 5 point harness, 2.5, forgerd wiesco pistons, ported 782 head, stock cam, valve train & timing, full crane cams ignition (junk yard), 8.5mm wires (bulk wire), HX-35 turbo @ 29psi, greddy didgital boost (junk yard, ya, i know, crazy!!), powerstroke intercooler, 3" piping, home made alcohol/water injection @ 10psi through 2 16lb V6 injectors @ 90 psi, all auto meter gauges, stock slightly built auto trany (have a fully built MVB trany to go in), 3" open swing valve, full suspention (all home made) and lots of other small crap im probly forgetting. yes, im runing pump "high octane" gas!! and still at 29psi for boost, my EGTs stay at 1500* the van is fun but im hopefully getting an omni to put it all in maby an 11 second omni? na, probly low 12s though.

i wiped my but with a done up skyline GT-ST way back with a T2 and 5th injector set up, the guy was NOT impressed, a WRX, lots of riced civics, easyly kept up with a new pourche (?) boxter on only 15psi this summer.... i duno, lots of other regular cars. "intimidated" a new shelby mustang, that storys in here as well some place.

Sounds good, but having some sort of exhaust system to quiet it down would be nice and would not hurt your power. Don't be the one who drives around with an open exhaust, there's a few pickup trucks around here like that and they are very annoying, but I'm sure they think it's cool too.

ya, but a truck with open exhaust get the reaxction of... "red neck!" an old caravan that sounds like an old muscle car gets a reaction of.. "what the hell? thats too loud and deep to be just a busted a$$ caravan" from what ive experienced. its alot deeper of a sound than most open exhaust TDs, and i like it! although i am looking for a big 3 or 3.5" pipe to pop out behind the drivers side door.

well a N/A engine is way louder than a turbo engine cause the turbo quiets the exaust down alot. i ran open headers on my gremlin for 3 months

haha this story reminds me of when my friend had a white si civic hatch.... came up to a turbo minivan... couldnt even keep up... lol hondas.... high hp but i pee with more torque than they put out
