OK, so I'm going home from a buddy's house(thanks Brent, the alternator works PERFECTLY!!). I'm really not looking to race anybody, but I see this new body style Mustang fly up on my butt at a traffic light. There is NOTHING in front of us for a few miles...so when the light goes green I take off a bit quicker than I normally would, but nothing too outlandish. Mr. Mustang stays behind, but then finds a hole in traffic and decides to go to the other lane and pass me...LOL. I can't have THAT!! When he does I notice it's a V6 car!! On top of this some old dude with a long grey beard is driving it! This is gonna be FUN!

So when he passes me I speed up a bit and he slows down a bit. I hear him drop it a gear(his tires chirped) so I struggle to to the same(3rd gear synchro is not doing well)..he jumps and gets 1/2 car(I'm still finding my gear LOL). I get my gear and GO(this is about 40mph)!! Well, this is not even close...I only got about 3/4 through 3rd and I was at his window..where I made sure to short shift to 4th so the BOV was in his ear(windows were down for both of us) and I proceed to pull away like a runaway freight train! I shut it down at about 95(MANY car lengths ahead) and he ricer fly-by's me!

Oh well...he got put in his place...don't bring a V6 Stang to a turbo fight!! LOL

To add a note, I had a similar race at the track..again a new V6 Stang and an old guy driving it. I put a hurting on that car...I kinda felt bad for the guy in the Stang...I don't know that he actually raced any more that night..

Sweet victory!!!!! One of my lame roommates has a '02 v6 stain. Thing has true duel exhaust with flows, so it sounds weird as hell. Smart ass that he was got that thing on credit back in '02. Took the full coverage insurance off afew months later, then ended up getting his frt. end torn off pulling into and intersection...hahahaha

Sweet kill. Looks like the 4.0 V6 is 210hp, coupled with RWD and heavy body it had no chance! Wonder what a 3.0V6 daytona could do to one (probably just lose ).

Get that tranny fixed up asap!

Working on the tranny thing. Got one being built as we type!

Ah yes...know thy enemy! I know that VERY well! That's why I pay attention to the sport compact scene and such...so I know what to look for and know when somebody is BS'ing. Most times I know more than the person that owns the car! LOL

I love asking people about their cars at work. one guy with a stang didn't know what his displacement was but by golly he knew he had a 4.11 rear end!

LOL, actually the alternator wasn't on yet! I'd jst left your house...this was on Blanding up by Middleburg HS.

To answer your other question, unfortunatly no, the RF noise is still in the radio. Time for a rewire! I'ma wait and get my tranny before I do that though...I think that's a little more important!
