yep that powdercoat is holding up very well the fuel rail has a couple spots that arent so pretty but the vc and intake look as awesome as always.
the bottom end and head are unchanged since the red car r.i.p. was yours, i beat the hell out of it regularly and that bottom end has yet to give me any issue.. the turbo is the same tII smoky stocker that you put on the car, so yea that is what i mean by stock turbo. the tranny is the 555 i picked up from you with a t2/t3 clutch, the rest of it is pretty different now though. im almost done with the megasquirt conversion
i actually swapped the tan interior out of the red one into this one as well, because black on tan happens to look awesome

Make sure you run enough slick if you're really going to try...you're going to run out of gear with a stock A555 in 4th to get the trap speeds necessary for an 11 second pass on a 23" slick.

24.5 is the smallest ill run. id like to go bigger but o dpnt think anything much taller than that will fit. i need to stretch out the gears in the 555 as much as i possibly can.. i really dont like how short the gearing is in this tranny but i cant afford a nice auto right now.... thats next winter

it started and idled yesterday
it was a lot colder out tonight and i canged a few things in hardware, went to start it an hour or so ago and it stumbled around for a bit and then died,, but the wiring and installation of all of my megasquirt stuff is basically done, aside from a few cosmetic things, and i have tomorrow off.. so the terd will be on the road again soon
hopefully that spirit will be out and about this year too... that should be a pretty sweet ass ride too from what i remember that you were doing to it.
the south bend turbo dodges need to step up and represent in 2007

Do the 520/555 hybrid. You wont regret it
my buddy's 87GLHS went from like 12.80 to 12.0 with ONLY a tranny swap from a 555 to the hybrid.

I run one in my car and I love it! This is a link to Cliff Ramsdell's site. He did mine for me but he tells you exactly how to do it yourself. http://www.hometown.aol.com/mopartek/hybridtrans.html

hmm
that would sure be a lot cheaper than having an auto built
thanks for the link.. i may actually do that.. the 555 itself is really limiting my car now, but i like driving a 5 speed a lot more than i do autos.. this looks like a pretty damn good solution

Its a good all around solid tranny. I have a phantom grip and a chromoly end plate in mine and its a great street driver and it takes the abuse at the track pretty good. It would be 100% bulletproof if it had a quaife.
