2.3 60ft isn't too bad for a 5spd with street tires.

if you have 10" brakes you should be able to crack off 2.2's pretty easy with some playing around with the throttle before and during launch.

less rotating mass to get moving. I cut 2.2's consistently till I went to 11" brakes. Then it dropped to 2.3's

I think variability in clutch, tires, and launch technique are going to matter a helluva lot more than the slight rotating inertia difference betwen 10 & 11" brakes...

I went from 10" brakes to 11" brakes on my ShelbyZ. Same car, same technique, same clutch and tires. 60ft times dropped from 2.2's to 2.3's. Now I have cut 2.2's and 2.1's again but my launch technique changed a lot due to my new 2 step rev limiter.

When the car hooked I ran 60' in the 2.20's,car was and is Bone Stock. You should be able to do much better than that running 14's. What is the gear ratio of your first gear?I had to learn to "Slip" the clutch out at 2500 RPM's,also had to replace the clutch at 35,000 miles.VNT hits peak horsepower at 5200 RPM and I was shifting at 5500 RPM to be sure I was still in a Peak Torque and HP range when I shifted.I also did not use 4th Gear,Hit 5500 RPM in 3rd at about the 1200' mark, lost to much time shifting to 4th so I ran it thru in 3rd, Rpm was @ 6200.

you can only put so much power to the ground. It's almost easier to cut good 60fts in a lower powered car and the VNT's are a bit easier because they hit boost sooner but don't make as much hp. With a bigger turbo you can be in a no boost bog situation or a boost and spinning situation pretty easy. The VNT makes boost but doesn't really bog or accelerate either.

Yes I know,Blistered the tires alot, Have not raced the car since 93.Also broke the r/s engine mount 3 times.Only ran the VNT for fun on non points races or when I had the points title wrapped up.
