OK..I *think* I found the calculator. By submitting the propper gear ratios for the A555(as given on DDG) with a FD of 3.5 and a 25.1" tall tire I *should* be able to reach exactly 100mph in 3rd gear at 6000rpm. So, if the tach was reading 6200 as I *thought* it was, 200rpm isn't bad at all given that I was actually doing right at 100mph as I went over the line. Like I said, my pseedo is #1 not correct as I need to find the propper gear for it, and #2, I never really look at the speedo when I'm racing.

google squirrel performance and gearing calculator. I cant post the link because frank owns it and the sexual tension between website owners is too powerful

My tachs from the 92+ electronics are always very accurate but the one in my duster does get a bit jumpy because I steal some of the tach signal for my zeitronix so sometimes it bounces in my duster or flatlines if rpms get too low (like 500 rpms if I bog it when driving in town).
Then I have a great speedo in my Spirit and the one in the duster is garbage that doesnt work properly between 50 and 105mph.
The Spirit is perfect as long as I know the correction factor to apply in my mind since I run taller tires (measuring @ 60 and 70mph helps).

^^OK, that's the calculator I was using. So, the numbers worked out. My tach is probably off by around 200rpm, which doesn't surprise me at all!

My speedo is off by a decent margine as well becuase of the taller tires. If I can find the right pinion for my SDS, then I should be good. I've been menaing ot ask, what pinion do I need for a car with 16" wheels(or I should say the 205/55/16 tire option)? When my speedo reads 70mph, I'm really doing almost 75!!!

I do like to race against Mustangs...this seems to be Mustang country down here(pun intended), but these (save for the 3rd one) were all far from the ones I usually pick on. That was a Saturday night, so all those guys were points racers. I will admit the track was much better than test-n-tune night and the racing was much better organized becuase there was less breakage and such. That's always a good thing!
